My grandmother lives at this facility and I was very pleased with the care she received. The staff was very attentive to her needs, they doted on her and made her feel special. I spent a lot of time with her, 10 or more hours a day during the last month of her life and I was able to see the staff interact with other residents as well. They treated each one as they did my Mamaw. The food was good and she had a wonderful housekeeper that cleaned her room daily. When my mamaw passed the staff even came to her funeral, which meant a lot to my family and myself. Can not say enough great things about this place!

I rated this facility poorly because of the lack of attentiveness the staff showed during the times in which I visited. When attempting to locate my mother's room, the front desk was extremely unhelpful displaying an extreme lack of care as well as a lack of knowledge. When asked to repair basic ammenities in the room, I was treated rudely. When someone finally decided to honor my requests to fix these problems it was days afterwards. There was no sense of urgency present in the employees of this particular facilities. The ammenites themselves were as basic as basic could be. There was no phone in the room. There was no television in the room. The rooms appeared dirty and in ill repair. I was extremely displeased at the lack of a telephone in the rooms because I was unable to call and check in on my extremly ill mother on the days when I was unable to make it over to arcadia to visit her. Overall, I found an extreme lack of concern with this facility.

I'm just not happy with them. I've told them to use distilled water in my mother's bypass machine. I use one, and my doctor tells me you're not supposed to use nothing but distilled water just like in an oxygen machine. And they have refused to do it, and they don't keep their water tank really clean. It's full of lime and calcium. My mother's hand is bruised up all the time. I asked her if they drew blood because I know she's on blood thinners and she said no they banged my hand up against the wall. I talked to the administrator and staff about four or five times.
One time she had a big scar on her hand, she said the nurses scratched her. All day she's in a dirty diaper, they don't change the diapers. They use a lift to put her to the wheelchair because she weighs over 300 pounds plus she broke her legs, and she won't be able to walk again. I saw she tripped over the lift one time and they did not report it to the administrative staff that they dropped her. I can sue, that's abuse and neglect. I've wrote the Department of Health and Hospital, but they have not yet respond to my email.

Yes,my father, Winfred harvey Aulds, spent the last few weeks of his life at this facility, passing away on the morning of May 7th,2006. I found the staff, for the most part, very unprofessional at their work(many wered down right 'rude'/sassy.I remember well there was a natural gas leak within the building(odor was obvious);owner tried rubbing it off as 'nothing'.NO hot water in my fathers bathroom!
