About This Community
Friendship Towers, with 100 apartments, provides independent retirement living for the active, self-sufficient older adult, with the emphasis on an older adult-friendly environment. The main ingredient that sets us apart from other living options is the caring atmosphere that exists among our residents, their families and our dedicated staff. As a bonus, at Friendship Towers we are certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide assisted living services to those residents who need “a little extra help” with activities of daily living, on a temporary or permanent basis.

Independent living at Friendship Towers is just that – independence! Residents enjoy the privacy of their own apartment along with the convenience of being close to neighbors and services. The building is designed to accentuate comfort, convenience, security and affordability.

A wide range of services and amenities encourage the resident’s independence as well as lay the groundwork for very special friendships to form.

I visited Sayre Christian Village - Friendship Towers Assisted Living, and it's quite nice and clean. It had been through a complete overhaul, so it looked very beautiful. We just looked at the studio room, and it was nice. The staff was fine for the tour. I don't have anything bad to say about it. For us, it was a little bigger. I think it would have been difficult for my mom because she uses a walker and it's a little more difficult for her to get around. They had a hair salon, a laundry room, a dining room, and a cafe where you can get something to eat pretty much all day and late into the evening if you want.

My cousin and her husband live at Sayre Christian Village - Friendship Towers Assisted Living. My cousin went with me on the tour as well. It was great; it was wonderful. We even had residents that came up to us not knowing what we were doing and talked about how they liked it there, so that was great. They actually provided lunch for me there, and that was part of their service they provide. The food was delicious. It is just like going to a restaurant; it is great. The residents are pretty busy. When I got there, my cousin's husband had been to an exercise class, and then they were going to have bingo. They have church services, movie nights, book readings, and all kinds of things. They have quite a few activities. They had been on an outing the day before we went, and they're going to the Legends games. They have all kinds of activities. I'd like to live there actually. The staff I interacted with and the ones I saw interacting are very friendly.

I was already familiar with Sayre Christian Village. They are non-profit. I knew about them through my church. When I visited them, the prices were too high. The staff was cordial. They could improve on the price. They should be several levels of pricing.

The care is excellent at Sayre Christian Village, and the facility is very nice. My father was in a private room. It was quite large and clean, and I would say very nice.

I was looking for a facility for my mother-in-law and I came to visit Sayre Christian Village. It was a lovely facility and I would love her to be there. It was very nice. The room has a lot of safety features. The staff were great. I saw a lot of people and they all looked like they were all cared for. They also looked happy and satisfied. They were having activities at that time. I was very favorably impressed with the place.

Mom's only child
I have had 3 family members at Sayre Christian Village. One at Baunta, one at Friendship Towers and one in the Nursing Home Care. All three received excellent care. The staff is amazing and truly enjoy working there. They always have smiles and show true affection for the residents. Renay knows every resident's dietary preferences and greets each one with a hug in the dining room. My mother has lived there for 3 1/2 years and loves it. When she comes to visit, it isn't long before she is ready to "go home" and greets her apartment with, "Hello, home" and a big sigh of contentment when we open the door. When we visit, she is happy to see us, but we can tell she is concerned about missing out on activities with her friends. The camaraderie among the residents is amazing. Love Sayre Christian Village. It is such a comfort and blessing to know my mother is happy. The facilities, except the new rehab facility are not the newest and fanciest, but that is not the most important factor, it is the staff. When my mom was in the hospital, the nurses commented on what good things they had heard about Sayre Christian Village. Mom quickly asked, "Then why aren't you working there instead?". I particularly like the graduated levels of care available from independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care, including short term rehab and memory care. In addition, it is a non-profit facility that tries to hold down costs for the families.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sayre Christian Village Assisted Living facility! My grandparents recently moved in there, and the staff has been so wonderful in welcoming them and taking care of them. The staff members tried to get to know them and taken extra initiative in inviting them to participate in the various activities that they have. I had the pleasure of dining in the dining room with my grandfather for lunch one afternoon, and the food was delicious and the service was great. The servers knew my grandfather by name and had his food and drink preferences memorized! The facilities there are very well-kept and nicely decorated. The director of the facility has been great in communicating with my parents when any issues have arisen. For example, one day my grandfather missed the weekly van that takes residents to the grocery store. He was upset and distressed that he had missed the trip. The director calmed him down, called my mother to make her aware of the situation, and about fifteen minutes later called her back to tell her that she had arranged for him to go with a different group later that day! Every staff member I have met has been extremely sweet and goes above and beyond to provide quality services for my grandparents. It is a relief to have my grandparents living there. I know that they have wonderful care available to them around the clock.
