My mother is at the Masonic Home of Louisville. So far, it has been the best place that I've dealt with. They check on her a lot. She has a private room and she stays clean. The food is pretty good. The outside is beautiful and well taken care of. The whole building is well taken care of. It's kind of impressive when you first walk in. She has a private room, and her own TV, and she has three windows right there to look out. The people are super nice. They're taking care of her because she can't do much for herself. She's clean, her hair looks good, and her room looks good. It's a nice place. The staff has been super. I talked to all of them and let them know what's going on with her and they've stepped up. It's worth every penny. It's a beautiful place.

My brother has been a mason for twenty five to forty years. He always said that if he ever had to do something, Masonic Home is where he would like to go. That is why we are choosing them. They have so many different levels of care. They have an efficiency type of apartment in the village. Then as his health deteriorates, they can just move him to another section which was a big plus for us. They will monitor his medication. If it gets to the point where he cannot afford the facility, they will put his case up to the care board. Since he was a mason, the care board may cover everything he cannot cover for the rest of his life. It is just a few advantages for being a mason. It was just exceptional. The staff has a lot of concern to him, and they want to make him as content as possible during this time. Even if we did the tour and just watched them with the other residents, they had so much patience with them. You have to be sure that your loved ones are going to be taken care of and they were so loving to them all. It was amazing. They have so many facilities on site too. It is unbelievable. They have a bowling alley and activities to keep them interested. They can have their food delivered to their living quarters or they can go to the dining area. They pick their meals plans and pick how much food they want to get, but they do not really have to take the meals there if they don't want to. There is a kitchen in the apartment. They may do their own cooking as well. They have a vehicle that they can use if they are still capable of driving and go wherever they want to go. It just hit all of our needs. They can come and go as they please.

My parents will be moving into Masonic Home. I have seen this place. It was all in one level, so they didn't have to worry about stairs or elevators. They have lots of grounds to walk outside with gardens. The staff was very informative and very polite. They were very sweet and very willing to help and make sure we're comfortable. They have amenities. They have a van that could take you places. They have a chapel, a library, a dining room, and a bistro. They have a doctor, a hairdresser, and a podiatrist. Everything is right there on the ground.

Masonic Home of Louisville was a very nice place. My mother and sister were there for rehab and it's outstanding. It's the best facility in Louisville that we went to -- I could not ask for better. It's clean, it's maintained, the services are excellent, the food is good, and the staff is very understanding, very kind, and they're not run off their feet. Patient to aide ratio is fairly low and they have time to sit down and take an interest in the residents, which is very important. They seemed to have quite a few activities. I really didn't get involved in it too much. My relatives were there for physical therapy and they were really tired after the therapy and did not participate much in the activities.

Masonic Widows was very well-kept and a nice place. The grounds were beautiful; however, they were building some addition to it, and they’ve cut down some of the trees, so that’s going to change most of the grounds. They have cottages or apartments, and they’re very clean and well-kept. I’ve seen the dining area, and it was a very nice-looking restaurant. If I decide to go into one, this is the one I’ll go into.
