My father was a resident of Allegro in Elizabethtown, Ky. for almost two and a half years and recently passed away at 94 years old.
My father lived 5 miles from town and after several falls, it was time for a assisted living facility. After visiting several locations, we liked Allegro best based on the facility, employees, and the feeling from the residents. It was a great decision.
We could not be happier with the responsiveness of the caregivers, the staff, and the management of Allegro. After three months of sadness of losing his home, dad suddenly realized that everyone at Allegro had created a "new" home and a family type environment.and became involved with the numerous programs that they provide to the residents. We will always be grateful to Allegro and their people.

We were able to find a place very close to where my aunt was already located. The name of the place is Alegro Senior Living in Elizabethtown. A big reason we picked this facility is its location. It is very handy for friends and family members to visit her. It has been very good. If you ask my aunt, she will rate it as 5/5 because she is really happy. They go out at least once a week just for a sightseeing drive. My aunt enjoys that because she hasn't been able to go out much. They also have an awful lot of people that come in the facility to entertain the residents. There are School groups and church groups that come in and play music, read, or sing for them. I had a meal there, and frankly I don't care much for the food. But my aunt thinks that breakfast is the best meal of the day.

I visited Allegro. It was the only one in our area that allowed pet and it was a grand wonderful place. They had a one-bedroom apartment which was quite nice and spacious with a little kitchen and a walk in bath for the handicap and they had patios. They had a lovely community room and another big room for Sunday services with podium. The dining was restaurant style. It was beautiful and the food was good. The staff was excellent. They would really cater to you and make you feel at home. They had more activities, they go to places and they had a nice big van to go out. I would recommend it to everybody.

My wife and I have planned to downsize and prepare for whatever may comeour way. After shopping for 4 years we decided to buy a universal design patio home, but we considered and visited several independent and assisted living facitities. We searched for a coninuous living facility but found none. We liked what we found at Allegro of Elizabethtown and when the time comes, we will move there. A skilled care facility, located next door, was formerly under the same management but still gives priority to Allegro residents. A memory care unit is within the Allegro building. The staff is caring and professional. The facility, renovated about 2009, has one and two bedroom suites with rates comparable to similar facilities. The dining room serves three excellent meals each day. The activities director conducts a range of activities with at least two activities a day. An excercise facility with a wellness director is on site. Transportation to medical apointments, shopping, and group activities is included. Assistance in daily activities like bathing, toileting, dressing, etc is not included but can performed by outside caregivers, Family members are welcome without prior notice at any time. Best of all, the residents are all appreciative of the quality of care they receive.
