My mom will move to Colonial Heights this Saturday. They have a huge library, a piano, and a lot of extra help if you need in-home nurses. Their apartments are really nice. She looked at a one-bedroom, one-bathroom. They have a lot of activities to do, and the residents seemed really nice. The staff, especially Pam, is wonderful; she offered us lunch, which I thought was nice.

I lived at Colonial Heights. The residents were quite happy and quite comfortable. The rooms were spacious. All of the people were dedicated to the satisfaction of the residents. The cost was 50% lower, the meals were better, and the service was better every day. I would recommend it to everyone in my family. Every month, there was a calendar provided to the residents with activities seven days a week. They take you in a van and go to a movie or the museum.

My loved one is in Colonial Heights and Gardens. It seems to be very nice and offers what one would need. Her apartment is adequate and clean. The dining area is very nice, clean, and efficient. Food is fairly good. They have some activities. The staff seems very nice and caring.

My mom was at Colonial Heights. The room that she had was nice and spacious with a well-equipped bathroom. The dining room was in the housing area for the memory care patients. It was nice and clean. It was a really nice place. However, they didn’t have enough skill or care to handle my mom’s condition. The facilities were good, and the people were really nice.

My mom is in Colonial heights and Gardens. We chose it because of the price. The staff is good, we’re very satisfied, and there are no complaints.

Colonial Heights is a lovely facility. It seems to be a close-knit and cordial community, feeling a little like a cross between an apartment house and a college dorm. The residents' names are on their doors along with the names of any pets living with them. There are communal social areas on each floor as well as many gathering areas on the first floor. The apartments are clean and comfortable. Residents can choose the meal plans they want, so they can prepare their own meals or get them in the well-appointed dining room. Snacks and drinks are available all day, and the meals are tasty and it's inexpensive for guests to join residents for a meal. Several handy services, like shopping and banking, are regularly offered right in the building. There's a workout room on the first floor, and various clubs so residents can cheer each other on in their workouts. There are all sorts of social activities available, and religious gatherings for those who want them, but there's also a nice library for people who just want to sit and read quietly. The staff members always seem to be pleasant. They know all the residents' names, and get to know visitors pretty quickly. Almost everyone uses a wheeled walker, and it's fun to see how people decorate their walkers to make them individual. The facility doesn't offer any separate lodging for guests, but visitors can always stay overnight with the resident they're visiting. There's ample parking for residents and visitors.

When first moving in, the room was left clean from the previous residents. The staff is normally kind and friendly. The food served in the dining room is pretty good. The layout could be better, it's a very long walk from some apartments to the dining/main area, which isn't good for some of the less mobile residents. There is a hair salon and shop within the building, around the dining area, which is convenient for the residents. We did have an issue with security where a woman was able to enter the building and ended up stealing from my grandparents' apartment. The security is normally good, but she presented herself as a medical worker. Colonial Heights helped our family in finding this woman and provided us with security tapes to help convict the woman. Overall, I believe they have the best interest of the residents in mind. A little bit pricey.

Colonial heights is a great retirement option for people on the florence area who need or might need assisted living in the near future. Colonial heights offers many forms of assisted living that are great for elderly that need a little help but still want some independence. The kitchen provides wonderfully food for the residents (two meals of your choice per day). Colonial heights also includes a wonderful garden and live butterfly display durning certain parts of the year. There are many great groups and activitys at colonial as well. This retirement home has been great for my relatives and I'm sure it will beGreat for yours too.
