The staff at Park West Plaza was very nice and very welcoming. What I liked the least was the long halls. A lot of the rooms were a long way from the dining room. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have a salon and a nice dining room. It was fairly clean. A lot of the carpets were printed, but they didn't match. It was not a big deal though. They were clean. It just could have been better, but it caught my eye.

My mom is a resident of Park West Plaza. They have been very nice, but the biggest problem I have is, every two months, the price goes up. There is another charge that wasn't disclosed at the beginning. So, it started out at $4,300 a month, now it's $6,400. My mom needs help with medicine, food, and somebody to watch her while she bathes because she's afraid of falling down. I've never had any problems with any of them that work there, and they've always been very helpful. My mom's very picky with food and she only wants certain things. They have a wide variety of choices, and they're very well balanced, nutritious, and they meet the calorie requirement. So, my mom being really picky is why she doesn't like it. They play bingo, and they have two or three different kinds of bingo. They have outings that they take people to, sewing classes, and church services. They do have a variety of activities for them. They're very nice, very clean, and spacious. There are some larger families, with a husband and wife, both there. So, they have options for what you want or what your needs are. They're very nice, but it's just getting expensive. That would be my biggest problem right now.

Park West Plaza was a very clean facility and had a lot of amenities. The common areas such as the dining hall were very nice. They showed us a 1-bedroom, it was very well set up and nice. The people who work there are very friendly.

My mom is currently in Park West Plaza. That was one of the best ones for the price. She's in assisted living, and we've got a few issues we have to work on. They're coming in to do some therapy. It's been quite a good experience. You know, if they need anything, they give me a call and give me updates and stuff on how she's doing if I'm unable to get in there. It's a nice community, fairly clean, fairly new, and well-maintained. They do a good job of taking care of her and keeping an eye on her.

I toured the Park West Plaza. It was very nice, I didn't feel like it was quite right for my folks, but probably because we only saw the assisted living and I felt like they needed more care than that. It was big. It was nice. It was clean. They had a beautiful dining room, the rooms were nice, and they were more of an apartment. The staff was wonderful, she was very good.

My husband is in Park West Plaza. I would recommend it. They've done very well. He's in hospice. It's been really nice. He's been there about three weeks now. It's hard to get to know everybody, but they've been really nice. The facility is very nice. I like it. We chose it for the price. It wasn't as expensive as some of the others, it was nice, and the people were very nice. They have activities for them all the time. He said the food is OK. He's a big eater and they feed him well. They play checkers with him and he goes to bingo. I wish they would do a little more checkers and a little more dominoes.

Park West Plaza has complete care instead of just assisted living, so as my brother progresses with his disease, it has the next phase of where to go onsite. He is still in the assisted living facility, but he is under hospice care. They have done very well. The staff has been quite good. They're very friendly. Everybody seems to communicate with him. It doesn't matter if it is a housekeeper or the cook, they all seem to be pretty friendly. I haven't eaten their food, but my brother complains about it. He also has cancer, and his taste buds are screwed up, so I would just rate them as average because I don't know any better. Unfortunately, he is not able to be very active because of his condition. The upkeep seems to be clean, there's nothing broken or dusty, and the place seems to be relatively well kept. It's not the cheapest place, but it's not the most expensive, and the level of care that he's getting for what he pays for seems to be satisfactory.

Parkwest has been a blessing to our family. We found out about Parkwest thru "A place for mom". Misty was awesome! She went above and beyond to help us. Heather, and all the other staff have been great. Good food, clean facility, compassionate care! Thanks so much!!

My father is at Park West Plaza nursing home, and it’s terrible. The cost is too much, the food is no good, and they don’t have enough people to take care of the residents. They don’t take good care of the facility, they don’t fix things up, and all they care about is money.

Park West Plaza had really impeccable grounds; there's a really pretty pond and a walking trail all the way around it. It's coveniently located close to the grocery store and Walgreens, but it was much more expensive than the other community we saw, that's why we didn't choose them. The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the surroundings are was very scenic. I don't believe that the pricing already includes the phone line, so you'd have to pay for that separately. It was just a beautiful setting. I can't over state that enough.

Park West Plaza was very good. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dining area was good, and the social area, which had a TV, looked comfortable. One area was for listening to music. The people there seemed very content.

I had an excellent tour of Park West Plaza. The people were very helpful, and they allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted looking around the place. It's a good quality place but less expensive than the other place I visited. The staff was very friendly and took a lot of time explaining things for me and helping me understand everything. I saw a 1-bedroom unit, and it was nicely located off the patio. The residents seemed to be very happy.

The tour at Park West was good. You get a complete apartment with a full kitchen. It was expensive, and the dining area was small. The staff was nice.

Park West Plaza is a nice place. It was very clean and neat. The lady we talked to was very sweet and kind, but the place was older, and you just had a feeling that you are almost in a nursing home if you were there. We would not be a good fit for this place.

Our experience at Park West Plaza was very good. The purpose for putting her there was she has advanced dementia, and she doesn't feed herself. She's incontinent, and they gave all those services as well as hospice. The dining area is very good and nice, and the food is very nice.

We settled with Park West Plaza because they could take care of my mother. They felt that they had the staffing that the others didn't have. They had daily activities, and their food was fine. It's accommodating, and it's got everything we need and the staff's been good so it's all good.

We visited Park West Plaza, and the food was terrible. However, everyone was very nice. In the independent living apartment, you had to walk outside to get to your meals and that was not very convenient. The cleanliness, the dining area, and the rooms were fine, but it wasn’t what my parents wanted.

My parents can stay at Park West Plaza as they decline without having to move them again. The staff is very helpful, and very informative. The facility is nice. The rooms are roomy. I was trying to find something not looking like a nursing home. My parents are in the senior living; they’re just in an apartment.

I guess the most impressive thing right at the top of my head is that at Park West Plaza, they have some individual condo-type units there versus the apartment units. Depending on your needs and requirements, I found that attractive because it was flexible. They also had a pretty decent place to park your vehicle. And the staff was very helpful and organized. The apartments in the main building seemed smaller.

Park West Plaza looked nice, but it was not what we are looking for right now. The independent living and assisted living people ate together in the same dining room. The apartments were nice. They had washers and dryers. They served three meals a day. The staff was very nice.

Park West Plaza was a really nice place. It was very clean and well kept. The people were very nice and courteous. They have cards, games, arts and crafts, movies, and get-togethers. I have nothing bad to say about it; I just can't afford it. However, I would recommend them to others if they can afford it.

I went to Park West Plaza. The assisted living part was really nice. I wasn't really impressed with their memory care part that I saw. It was like a big, old room, and it had rooms off to the side. The people were just sitting in wheelchairs all over the place, and they had tables scattered throughout. The rest of it was OK. The dining room was pretty nice. Their parking for visitors wasn't really good. I had a hard time finding a place to park when I went there. I wouldn't want my dad over there.

Located on the far west side of the city, this is a beautiful assisted living campus that is also part of a continuum of care community. The campus has the best of both worlds: it is a natural landscaped retreat that includes a stocked fishing pond and also has the convenience of a good sized city. Nearby is shopping, movies, transportation and hospitals. I love that they allow pets. Food is good and staff is friendly and really caring. Accepts veteran's benefits, but not Medicaid.
