Lakepoint was pretty basic -- nothing fancy-- but it's what my grandparents could afford. We chose this place because they knew another resident there. They have some activities but not many -- just Bingo and shopping. It is fine. They meet their needs.

We liked Lakepoint when we walked in the door. They had Medicaid rooms and they were very nice. The staff was very nice and very friendly. Many of them live on-site on the campus. They seem to really care about their patients. We’ve had dinner with them, and the food was excellent.
They have church every week. On Sunday, they have both Protestant and Catholic services. They have Wednesday night services for those who want to go. They do bingo. They have an on-site hair salon. They have a room for physical activities where they can go and exercise. They have ceramics where they can go and make ceramic things.
I thought their room is very generous. We have built an extra large room for her in our house which is 12 x 15, and it’s bigger than that. It has an on-site bathroom and a nice big closet. Cable TV is already there ready to go. She has an internet and there’s enough room in her room to have everything that she had here.

My friend liked the surroundings at Lakepoint, and they had a lot to do with it. It is a nursing care facility. She will be moving in to assisted living. It’s very nice and clean. I think it rates a 5. The staff was very nice and helpful. The residents were fine; there weren’t any problems.
