Wichita Presbyterian Manor was first quality. The quality, the facility, the amenities, the staff, and the food quality were excellent. The rooms were top-quality materials, well appointed, and in excellent repair. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and very pleasant. The food was restaurant quality. They had continuum of care, so they had rehabilitation center, assisted living, and nursing. They had a pool, a full gym, a fitness director, book groups, game groups, groups that go out to eat, Bible study, and a chapel.

We went to The Westerly Residences at Wichita Presbyterian Manor, and it’s a buy-in as compared to a month-to-month lease. It’s a condo type of situation with lovely apartments. Everything is brand new, and they are lovely; everything from granite counters and stainless steel kitchen. Everything is up to date. If you decide to buy in there, you automatically have access to extended care and nursing care at a greatly reduced cost so that is a plus. We were very impressed with their management; however, at our age, we are not sure if want to buy in or lease.

This is a wonderful, innovative community that really takes care of and cares for its seniors. It is a not for profit organization which may make it more affordable than other similiar programs. It is located on the northwest side of the city on a beautifully landscaped and ammenities rich campus. Caring and competent staff work to help seniors stay engaged and function at their highest level of independence. Really exemplifies the person centered model of care. Has a "Try it Free" program which allows a 1-3 day stay free of charge to see if Assisted Living is the right answer for you. I like this place. Be prepared for a wait list.
