About This Community

Mennonite Friendship Communities is made up of three different communities, each with their own level of care offered: Friendship Manor (SNF), Friendship Village (CCRC) and Friendship Place (55+).

Friendship Manor

When anyone come to Friendship Manor, they are greeted with a professional, well-trained clinical staff that assures residents their health care needs are met around the clock in a secure and private manner. Staff meets with each resident and their families to develop a personalized care plan to assess each individual need.

Spacious private and semi-private rooms are available, and they can be decorated to each residents' specification - as long as the decorations are safe. Enjoy restaurant-style dining, with choices offered at each meal. Menus are planned to support therapeutic diets and individual requests.

Friendship Village

The Friendship Village retirement community offers several housing options designed to meet a variety of preferences and needs. Live a maintenance-free lifestyle with a variety of payment options to fit your financial plan.

Friendship Place

The Friendship Place apartments offer twenty 1,043 square foot, two bedroom units are configured in 4-plexes and 6-plexes. All are ground level, energy-efficient construction with private entrances and single attached garages.

Furnishings include electric range, microwave, refrigerator, washer and dryer and a walk-in shower. Eligibility is based on gross household income from all sources.

All units are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to the Fair Housing Act and IRS Section 42 federal housing guidelines, administered by the Kansas Housing Resource Corporation. Service and therapy dogs are welcome on campus. In addition, consideration will be given to reasonable accommodations and moderations. At least one full-time resident of each apartment must be 55 years of age or older.

We toured Mennonite Friendship Communities. It was nice. We liked it very well. There was outside access for my in-laws like a patio directly from their apartment, or they could be inside to a hallway from another door. It was neat, very well kept indoors and out, and there seemed to be lots of activity. The staff was excellent. She was very friendly. The dining area was very neat and clean. They have a large library. They have a machine that could enlarge the print to look at things. They have a rather large wood workshop, and it has lots of equipment in it. They have a beauty shop and an area they met for chapel services. They have a pool room and an outdoor pond where they could go fishing. They have an on-staff home health nurse that the residents could visit with. They also have a laundry room. It was a big laundry room where the residents could do their own if they wish to.
