The Forum at Overland Park is nice. They have high-quality staff. They didn't seem to have a lot of activities, but I might have caught in on a slow day. The place is older, the rooms are shared, and it has an institutional feel to it.

The care and concern of the nurses and nurses aides on a scale of 1 to 10 is 20! The food was pleasing to the palette with a wide variety of choices. The physical therapy team was outstanding. I would highly recommend The forum.

The Forum didn't strike me as anything special. I don't know what was wrong. The rooms weren't as big, and they were a little older-looking. It was nice enough. I think I just didn't like the lady who gave us the tour. She was quick and showed us a gym, but she wasn't that helpful. It seemed like she was in a hurry and had things to do. They had an alternative menu. The lady didn't know much about the activities. She just said they had activities but didn't go to detail. It was not bad, just average.

You could check all that you have for Overland Park Kansas. You can probably find about 20 facilities, and I was at all of them whether it was progressive care or whether there was a buy-in fee. It didn't matter because the goal was being able to find a space that my parents can call home. They were very friendly, but they didn't have the space I needed to move my parents. My parents needed separate bedrooms and ample space especially for a wheelchair. I didn't feel that facility could accommodate it. It is a very nice place, but the apartment itself wasn't right for mom and dad. I only met the marketing staff that took me around, and they were friendly. If they offered a larger space for assisted living -- especially in that area -- they would probably find many more clients.

We visited The Forum and the whole place seemed a little bit too fancy for what my mother-in-law would feel comfortable in. It was almost over the top. They didn't have assisted living available at that time, but they did have independent living available. We looked at one of the apartments. It was good and very spacious. It was just like a regular one-bedroom apartment with a little kitchen. I liked it a lot. They got different areas in the building where people could get together. They also have a lot of activities for residents to participate in.

We visited the The Forum at Overland Park in the region while searching for a suitable assisted living facility for our aunt. Many of our family members live in the area, so this would be an ideal place for her to live.
The outer grounds looked well-kept and pleasant. The staff greeted us and seemed very warm and friendly - which is the most important thing to our family. We want our uncle to be treated well in his new home.
The foyer was nicely decorated and seemed homey, as did all of the communal rooms. The apartments were all clean, well-kept and conveniently designed. They take the time to personalize them to each resident's tastes.
The activity calendar featured many healthy and stimulating activities. We liked that the staff encourages participation and tries to make everything interesting for its residents.
They have outings to local libraries, events, culture, restaurants, shopping and even athletic activities. They take suggestions to update the schedule as much as possible.
The dining areas were nicely designed and warm. Residents may choose communal dining or more private situations. There are places for seniors to visit with families, as well.
The food looked deliciously prepared, as well as nutritious. The dietician and chef changes up the menu to keep it interesting and encourage resident to make suggestions.
We've visited quite a few assisted living facilities and thus far, this is one of our favorites. From the attentive staff to its friendly vibe, we were very impressed with this senior living environment with all that it has to offer.
