Overall I think my aunt is getting good care at Vintage Park. She mentioned that the nurses are very nice and the food is good. She said that she has lost some of her clothing and sometimes gets other tenants items. My aunt is a diabetic. I would like it if she had more guidance in selecting her meals, such as avoiding pastas and such. It seems the elderly with diet restrictions should get some guidance and more sugar free products available. I can only assume that she is not expected to clean the toilet in her bathroom, but it had not been cleaned in a very long time. It had the lines that form after a long period of not being cleaned. I think it should be kept clean. I can assure you that if she were capable, it would be clean. I did not notice anything else in the building to appear dirty or worn. My aunt likes the people and the atmosphere at VP. She enjoys the games, the library, and the Hallmark movies. She is happy that she can hang things on the walls. I think that is important to make people feel at home. Overall I think the care is good, but would like to see a few improvements. There is always room for improvement where ever you are.

Vintage Park at Ottawa looks corporate, bright, and sterile. For activities, they have bingo, puzzles, and books. They also have a hair salon. The rooms were clean with a full bathroom; including a shower. The staff seemed personable.
