I can't rate the food, because I didn't eat there; but the place was spotlessly clean. The air was fresh and smelled good. All of the clients were well groomed, and looked content and happy. We toured the facility and were impressed with the layout, and the relationship between the staff and clients. The person who gave us the tour, was exceptionally personable and good with the clients. He was obviously well liked by the residents and staff as well. The overall energy was positive and caring. The Windsor is at the top of our list, for when the time comes that we're ready.

The tour we had at The Windsor of Lawrence was fantastic. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and very open. He was not just promoting The Windsor of Lawrence as a good place. He was very willing to talk about what to look for in a facility and what might be best for our parents because we have not been through this process before. He just had a lot of other experience helping with parents and even a cousin of his. He was top-notch. I think it was an older facility. They could do some updating, new color schemes, and new carpet. It just needed a general updating. Also, I felt like the rooms were very small. I don't think we saw a room where we felt like it was adequate space for two people. Other than that, everyone we met was very professional and kind. At the time that we went there, they actually had a group out in their activity room going through some exercises. We were shown a calendar with a list of their activities, and they seemed adequate. It looked very enjoyable.

I went to The Windsor of Lawrence. It was a little awkward. There was a staff member there to meet us, but it was just awkward. There was such a completely different feeling there. We did not feel good about the place. It was very small, and to me, they didn't seem to be very accommodating, like we wouldn't even be able to go to the room to visit my mother-in-law. I know a lot of places were doing that because of COVID, but it just wasn't as friendly. The staff was pretty good. She's the one that gave us the tour. She was much nicer when we started to get a better feeling, except it was just way too small for my mother-in-law. Physically, the facility looked fine. It wasn't elegant, but it was fine. It was clean but everything was small in it, and to me and my husband, that was kind of a turnoff. A bigger place would be better for my mother-in-law because then it's more like a home for her. It felt more like an institution than a home. They have a beauty salon. They have a bathroom with a big jacuzzi tub that the residents can get into, and that was one kind of a nice thing.

My parents moved into The Windsor of Lawrence. My mother moved in a little bit earlier than my dad because he had to be released from their skilled nursing. Because of COVID, visitation is restricted to window visits or video conference, but I did get let in the room when they moved in. Overall, I'm happy. I don't have too many problems with the place. Their room is pretty small. It's a one-bedroom and I've got my dad with his hospital bed in the living room and my mom iis n the bedroom with her bed. It would be nice if it was a little bit bigger, but other than that, it's OK. The activities director isn't real flexible about options for activities so much, but other than that I'm pretty happy with the staff. The environment is pretty nice. They have an outdoor area in the middle of the building that has plants and tables where they can sit or eat meals. They have a greenhouse or an indoor porch there, too. My dad said the food is OK.

My mom is a resident of The Windsor of Lawrence. It is not super fantastic, but it is all right. The rooms are very small. We helped move my mom in; she is in a studio. Everybody seems nice; nobody seems overly enthusiastic. They seem to be doing their job. My mom is on level one care, so it is basically medication management. They also make sure that she has her free meals and they keep an eye on her. The atmosphere is just OK. It is not terrible, but it is not great either. It is suiting our purposes. My mom was endangered by herself, so we needed to get her somewhere quick, and this was the only place I had been in contact with. It is not like they don't take good care of her, but I'm not super impressed with them. They're mediocre. It is hard to get a hold of the administration. There was some confusion when we moved in. There was still somebody's else's things in my mom's room when she moved in, and when they switched her to a studio apartment, there were some things in my mom's room again from somebody else. They have also been messing up our invoices. It is hit and miss with them. As far as her care goes, it is fine, but we are running into a lot of little things that are frustrating. My mom says the general staff, like the nurses and the people that work there day-to-day, are nice. The place seems well taken care of. It is pretty new, too.

My father has moved into The Windsor of Lawrence. They have singing and games and a cute patio that the residents can sit out on and get fresh air. The staff members are very professional. My father's room is efficient. The food isn't very good, but the dining is sufficient. They have a spa room and a place that a stylist would come in to cut hair. As a visitor, they're friendly. It is a nice place. It is always clean and smells nice.

The Windsor of Lawrence was great and we liked it. The only part that I didn't like was the section where they put the folks with memory care since it was kind of depressing for me. The staff was very nice and engaging with the residents, and the place seemed to have a very homey environment. The dining area looked like a very nice restaurant.

Windsor of Lawrence felt like home. They had activities like bingo and games. They served three meals a day. The rooms were small, but they were fine. The only thing I noticed was that there was kind of a smell. It was not bad, but I thought it could be a little better.

We have moved my mother into Windsor of Lawrence. My mother has acuity issues, and the Windsor has staff for that. It is local; it is only 5-minutes away. The staff is confident, and they seem friendly enough.

I thought Windsor was a very nice facility. The staff was outstanding, very informative, and professional. Their layout was very workable and seemed like a comfortable place. The dining area seemed very nice. They had security in place and a lock to the general entrance and another in the memory care entrance. The amenities were on par with everyone else's, and the people there seemed happy.

My dad is the alzheimer's unit and he isn't getting the care that we were told he would get. My mother goes every day to see him and finds that he is so thirsty. My dad has lost 5 lbs. in the less than a month he has been there because they feed him the same lousy meals every day without any meat. My mother is asked constantly to buy things for my dad. We are currently looking for a better placement for my dad.
