I moved my aunt, who's also my court-appointed ward, to this facility in December 2021 at her request. She was living in a facility 65 miles away that was going to raise her daily rate and still not offer what Emporia Place offers its residents. She was thrilled that she could bring her cat. She says that the food is good, and while her apt is the smallest she's ever had, it has everything she needs. Last week I moved my mother to Emporia Place. My aunt is thrilled to have her sister-in-law nearby. In good weather they enjoy the courtyard together after meals. If it's raining they participate in activities or go to the onsite library to find a book to read. Having my loved ones at Emporia Place gives me peace of mind. While their monthly fees are not inexpensive, they are the most reasonable in the area. They're easily half of what my aunt was paying before she moved last year. Every elder care facility has exceptional employees. What sets a great facility apart is its management. Emporia Place has the best administration I've encountered in the five years I've managed my aunt's affairs, and in the past two months of shepherding my mother's medical journey from ER to trauma unit to rehab nursing to skilled nursing and now, thankfully, assisted living at Emporia Place. Once you've experienced the best, only Emporia Place can be called "home".

I really like it. It's very nice and very clean. The staff was very pleasant. Their rooms are small, but it's probably because they are assisted living and not apartment. They do the meals there, and they do activities; they do a lot of things. I think it would be a good place for someone who needs assisted living.

It is very nice. I was looking for a facility for a friend at the time of my visit. She has a baby grand piano, and they were willing to give a space for her piano, and I thought they were very nice. When I went there, I saw they were playing bingo and some ladies were playing cards, but I don’t know what else they do.

It is very charming if you're looking for a smaller community. My mom was coming from outside the area and I felt like there is not much diversity there. I found the staff remarkable and the interaction that I saw there does really function as a small community.
