Waldron Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a sad and horrible place to have a loved one stay. You won't find cleanliness here. We could see a layer of dust/dirt on the floor. But it extends beyond the physical building. My loved one had a bloody nose. When we got there a few hours later, no one had attempted to clean him up. The next day, his bed linens still had not been changed and had blood stains on them. He was not given a bath, even a bedside cleanup, for over 4 days. He was in the late stages of cancer. When we arrived one day, he was unresponsive and clearly in agony - rolling all over the bed in pain. The nurses had not requested pain meds for him - they left him writhing in pain. Had I not demanded they get him some, he would have spent his final hours in unfathomable pain. It took over 6 hours to get him that first dose. When we arrived the next day around noon, I asked if he had been given pain meds that day. They replied that he had not because HE had not asked for them. An unresponsive cancer patient in end stages cannot make that request for themselves. We spent 4 hours in his room one day, and did not see a single nurse - not checking on him in his room, or even walking down the hall to look in on other patients. One evening when we were there, we went to the nurses' station to ask a question. Two young ladies were working and had no clue how to answer. They told me it was their "first time working at this facility in our rotation." It is sad that this is the best that we can offer elderly people who do not have a lot of resources in their final days.

My mother was injured in this facility and the care was substandard. Terrible experience and I would NOT recommend this provider to anyone who is looking for a safe caring environment for their loved. It is anything but that. I would recommend this facility/company to any family who needs their services. ALL staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating! My grandmother loved this place!
