My mother stayed in Lynd Place before she passed away. I was very pleased with them there. They were very caring. She had one nurse in particular, and I cannot remember his name, but he was the only male nurse there at the time. He was extraordinary. She really, really liked him a lot. A very good nurse. Cleanliness and upkeep was very, very good. Her room was awesome. She had the largest apartments, to my knowledge, that she could get. She wasn't happy to be there. My dad had just passed away a month before, so she couldn't stay at home alone, and so she wasn't happy to be there. But it wasn't because of Lynd Place. My mother wasn't crazy about the food. I think breakfast was her favorite meal. They need to improve in having more variety of meals, and less to-go types of meals.

Lynd Place looked very nice and clean and things seemed to be operating smoothly. Everybody was busy doing their job. They were welcoming when we came in. The staff was very good at explaining everything and giving us an idea. I could tell that he was concerned about the residents. There was a man that stepped out in the hall that needed something and the staff was busy giving us a tour, but he assured the resident he was going to send somebody to take care of that. He got on the phone and notified somebody to go take care of it. I liked the room setup and the courtyards. I liked that it was on our way into Muncie, so it would be nice if we could just stop there every time we went to Muncie and see my father-in-law if he was there. We liked the enclosed courtyards and access to those and seats here and there in the hallway, so they could walk and then sit down and rest and then go again. It was a little bit more modern than homey, but it had a fireplace and one lady was sitting by it.

We have chosen Lynd Place for my cousin. He hasn't been there that long, but we're satisfied so far. I like the friendliness of it. They're interested and willing to help. Of course, they charge for that, but that's what they're in business for. My cousin's room is very nice. He has his own belongings. It's adequate for one person. I have not tried their meals, but he says they're good. Their dining room is average. It is kind of plain; it's sufficient. They have some interesting exercises, classes, and I heard some lectures type things and some learning experiences. The atmosphere is friendly and quiet. It appears to be having some fun things going on in the kitchen. They have outdoor activities, indoor activities, and movie nights. They have a little party room. They have a lot to offer.

We toured Lynd Place for my father-in-law, and the place was very clean. We were treated very courteously and had a good tour. The residents looked happy. The place is like a big hotel. The rooms were very clean and very nice. The one who toured us was very good. Everything seemed in working order.

We visited Lynd Place in Muncie. They're very informative and answered all of our questions. They also bent over backwards to make things so that dad would be comfortable. As far as them working with us and the cleanliness, I would give them a high rating. The building was clean, and they had two outdoor gardens.

My mother is now living in Lynd Place. It seems to be working with her, she's made friends, and she seems that she's taken that on as her home, and her needs are being met. The staff is very interactive and friendly, and keeps us informed.

Lynd Place is very nice and very comfortable. Mom actually did not want to go into a senior facility, but when we visited and she saw the facility, she loved it. The staff member was very helpful. She showed us the furnished model unit, then showed us the actual room that Mom would be getting. It was empty and open but nice. There were residents with pets, which gave me the feeling that it was a very homey and comfortable facility. They have a library, which impressed Mom.

My mother is currently here. It seems to be working out okay. The rooms are pretty much like anywhere else as far as I am concerned. They have nurses 24 hours a day. I like the fact that even though there are nurses there, because my mom was on Medicare and she just had some surgical things done, they allowed Medicare home care to come in the facility and didn't force us to use their nursing staff. They actually distribute her meds, but I have a home care nurse coming in and a care aid to do her bathing. It is great.
