Digby Place was a smaller community, but very well organized. The staff was great, and I met several of them. The questions they had for me about my mother seemed like they were very knowledgeable about everything that they were doing. I would say it was a very comfortable place. They had a lot of activities for their residents.

I went to Digby Place. The manager was just fun. He's the cheerful guy. It even extends to his dress. He just looked like a party coming at you. You could tell the guy was having fun doing his job and was hoping we were going to come to stay at his facility. And if somebody is looking for a small place, you could not do any better. Now, some people might find a lack of people to associate with, but if you wanted a small, quiet place, I don't think you could do better than Digby Place. You got to love that guy showing up. He's wearing plaid pants and he was pulling it off.
It is small and there is no opportunity that you have if you have a bigger place. I think they only have 39 rooms, so it would be very close-knit and personal. Some would say boring, but sometimes boring is just what you want. They have a lot of stuff going on, but with just 39 people, I think my dad might be seeking more social than what the 39 people there might be able to offer for him. They have a nice courtyard. They're about to build a new gazebo in their courtyard. They had exercise bikes and gym equipment for the residents to use, and they have activity rooms.

We're hoping to move mom into Digby Place this November. It was very nice. I like that everything is on one level. It's all in a big square, so if my mom who has slight dementia gets turned around, then she's always gonna find her way back. We're gonna be allowed to kind of decorate her door space to make it easier for her to recognize her room. One of her big fears was that she wouldn't be able to find it, but they told us we could do whatever we wanted to her door and the space around her door, so that will make it a little easier for her. The staff was very nice. Everybody we met was very nice and very personable and I'm entrusting my mom to them. I was very pleased. It looked very clean to me. There's a nice inner courtyard and the room we're gonna have for my mom will be facing that courtyard, so she'll have a nice view. We'll put up a bird feeder outside her window, which she'll like.

I like that Digby Place was a smaller community, and the residents would get more attentive care. The one thing I don't like is the fact that everybody has to sit 6 feet away by themselves; one person per table. The staff during the tour was very helpful and very informative. They have a salon, courtyard, small library, and small living room or gathering place. It was definitely clean.

My mother is at Digby Place. It's a smaller community, which I like. I think the max is just slightly under fifty residents, so there are a lot of one-on-one interactions. The staff there is very professional. I've been in business for over forty years, and I think I'm a pretty good judge of character, especially when somebody enjoys their job. It seems like they all enjoy what they're doing, and they want to make every every resident feel a part of the place.
I have not had an opportunity to try the food yet, but I know my mother has been very pleased with it. It's an older facility, but it's in very good shape. They just got a new director, and she seems to be very good. They're just starting to open up, too, so it's kind of hard to give you an accurate judgment at this time. From all the research that I did, they do a really good job for the money.

We toured Digby Place. It was really nice. It was a nice, clean place. The staff was very nice, answered all our questions, and did a good job. It looks very nice. We've seen the cafeteria, the individual rooms, and the courtyard.

My father moved into Digby Place. We chose it because it's smaller in size, so it's a better environment for him, and we really liked the staff. It's just one facility, and it's an aging-in-place facility. I have had no complaints whatsoever. They are very helpful, very informative, and very friendly. They knew all the questions to ask about my dad, and when we moved him in, all the staff was there, they all introduced themselves, down to the kitchen staff. It's just a really nice place. So far, they have gone above and beyond to make him comfortable and welcome. It's just been a very good experience so far. He has not had one complaint other than he likes to eat breakfast super, super early in the morning. He likes to eat before the sun comes up, but as far as quantity and quality, he is happy with the food. The facility is very well kept and very up-to-date.

I live in Digby Place. It has been good, but for weekend or holiday time, they hire agency people that don't know the residents and they don't know what to do, so you have to tell them. I spent my whole life telling people what to do because I was a nurse for 40 years, and I tell them, 'this needs to be done, and that needs to be done,' and they were to me like, 'What?' Their regular aides that they have here are very good, so I can't complain about that.
The food has been good. They've had a couple of days where something was cold but, you know, when you gotta lot of people to take care of, I understand that. But the food is good and the nurses are excellent, so I can't say anything about that. As I said, the regular people that work here are very nice. They're very efficient. When you turn your light on, it's only just a few minutes and they're there. Food is good. It's not like you have it at home but it is good food. It's got good flavor, good taste, it's good.
I would give the facility a 5 because the setting is quiet. You see cars going by, you see people walking but it's quiet. I don't know about activities because when you come here, the first 10 days you're here, you have to stay in your room because of this COVID.

My stepfather is in Digby Place. Everything has been perfect so far. He's adjusting real well. They clean their apartments, they do the laundry for them, and they cook them three meals a day. They have activities of all sorts every day, they have church services, outings, and transportation to doctors' appointments. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's a fairly small facility, and it's all on one floor.

My Mom lived at Digby Place for over eight years, and we had nothing but a good experience. She had Alzheimer's and always felt like she was home. The employees have always made everyone feel like Family and I have always felt at home myself.

Before I took my mom and dad into Digby Place, I went in and had dinner and everything so that I could observe the residents, and I did this with all 3 places. This was the only place that I took them with me the very first time that I went, and when we got in there I just got an immediate feel of a nursing home instead of assisted living. There were a lot of odors in the place. They took us on our tour straight across the dining room, and your feet stuck to the floor the whole way across the dining hall. So it wasn’t a super clean place and then the dinner that they served us for lunch was a beef stew that was just really bad. Instead of serving us in the dining room like they said they would so that we could visit with the residents, they served us in the office. We didn’t actually get to go into the dining room and sit with people we knew. It was a smaller place and a lot more expensive. I just didn’t feel like they got the care they were going to get at either of the 2 other places we visited. The staff seemed to be really nice. We got pretty good treatment when we get there. I just didn’t feel like the services.

Digby Place was very good. They had a good variety of activities. Their prices were high. They had five or six levels of care, so once you got up to the higher levels, it would get expensive. The staff was very good and seemed to be very caring and knowledgeable. My experience with them was very positive. Digby House had the best enclosed courtyard. The building surrounded it, so there was no possibility of escaping. The facility was designed so that you could walk around the entire facility and the courtyard. That was kind of an advantage. The courtyard was the largest one I've seen as well. The only drawback for the most part was the cost.

Digby was small; that’s one reason why we chose the place for my parents. I didn't have a problem with the staff. It's only got 39 rooms in it. It has an entertainment room like a little theater for watching movies, a library, a visiting room, and a bunch of chairs for if your family comes in; you can go sit there. The building is square, and there is a nice and open middle area where people can go outside there. It's enclosed, so you don't have to worry. My dad has dementia so if you went out there, he could not go wander. It has a home atmosphere and very small.
