Rittenhouse Village at Michigan City looked very nice. It was very welcoming. The staff was very professional and pleasant. It looked like they set up all kinds of activities and activity centers for the residents who are interested in those types of things. The few residents that we met seemed to be OK. They weren't really outgoing, but they were walking around and seemed to be enjoying things.
We saw a one-bedroom unit. It was nice, pleasant, clean, and neat. It was not quite as big as I would have hoped it would be, but it was sufficient. It wasn't suitable for my friend's needs though. She would not be happy there, and she is not really ready for it yet. For me, I thought it looked very nice. It was convenient. I don't really have anything bad to say about the home itself. I think the physical appearance was very nice. They have a very nice little dining area. The staff were very pleasant. They didn't seem excited to see us, but they were very professional.
I have been to other places before in the past, and they had more of a homey atmosphere. In the common areas in Rittenhouse Village, it looked more like an upscale house. It was like a living room that I wouldn't want to live in because it was too nice-looking. The dining area was pleasant and nice. They had a lot of windows, but it just didn't look homey. I understand they don't have a lot of carpeting in these places (probably for them to keep it clean), but it just looked a little too cold. It didn't look like a hospital room; it was nicer than that. If I had to live in a place like that, I would say that I could get used to that. My friend was not happy with it at all. She's a very picky person.

We choose Rittenhouse for our parents after touring several places. This was always at the top of our list. No regrets at all. The staff is wonderful and attentive to our and my parents needs. They made the move easy and comfortable.

We visited the assisted living and extended care at Rittenhouse Village at Michigan City. They were fine. They were pricey. The continuing care was fine. The staff members were very helpful and very nice. They have good food. It's a nice place, but my mom needed more care than what they could have provided for her. They have trips, they have a beauty shop, they take them shopping, and I'm sure they have art and social activities. The food was very good.

My mother has been at the Memory Care facility Rittenhouse in Michigan City for two years. It was extremely nice with exceptional care and activities. The last six to eight months, we have noticed that the care she receives has become average and there are no activities. Basically, she gets up, eats breakfast, lays in bed, gets up for lunch, lays in bed, gets up for dinner and goes to bed. This is unacceptable. When addressed with the current executive director, I was told they are working on it, but since this has been going on for so long, I do not believe things will change. How sad.

I visited Rittenhouse (Rittenhouse Village) but it wasn’t really an official visit. My parents have decided they’re not yet ready. The rooms were very nice. There were plenty of activities. I saw their activities list and there were plenty to do. I ate there and the food was good.

I visited Rittenhouse. It was clean and had a really nice grand staircase and a fireplace right when you walk in. The location was very convenient to one of the major highways. From what I saw, it looked very nice. I would recommend them, but I'm not sure about price. The dining room was set up like a formal dining room. It was a lot nicer than the other place I visited.

We like everything about Rittenhouse. My parents have been there since August. It's new, and the rooms are lovely. The dining room is beautiful, and the food is good. The staff is attentive. The facility is always clean. They dump the trash three times a day, and they come in and clean the rooms. They change the beddings and do the wash for their towels once a week. I've never seen anything there that is dirty.

When I visited Rittenhouse, it was a very nice facility. It was quite and very clean and comfortable. The dining area was very nice. The meals were good. They each had chef on staff to prepare the meals. It was a comfortable and quiet setting. The rooms were spacious. The staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly.
