This nursing home is not what it used to be. It used to be the best. Now care is inconsistent, sometimes absent. Residents are regularly unsupervised and under supervised. When they had a flu quarantine, it was hard to find a staff. Inconsistent feeding offered at meal. The church service with pastor and music is the nicest feature each week. Recreational activities are a few hours on weekdays and often just turning on a TV and then the staff leaves. The culture and leadership are focused on how things look with new paint and carpet rather than actually caring well for seniors. The management does not consistently staff enough nurses, train them or regularly supervise them to be able to do their work. Think twice about choosing this place.

Hoosier Village is very nice community. My relative is in independent living but there's assisted living there as well. We chose this place because of the location, the reputation and the availability. Their rooms are very spacious. They have a big and beautiful dining room that serves very good food. They also have many activities for their residents. They have bingo and movie nights but they also have classes and guest speakers. They also provide outings. They have a pool and a gym. The staff is excellent. There's enough staff in the community.
