My mom has been in Independence Village of Greenwood. They've been wonderful. They've all been very compassionate, and they've treated Mom very well. I have no complaints. I have not eaten there. Mom has said it's not the best food, but I think she's just upset about being there and is not happy about the whole situation. She wants to come home. But I would say the food is adequate. The facility is very clean. It feels like an apartment complex. That's the highest rating I can give it; it does not feel like a nursing home or an assisted living care facility. When you walk in and go down the halls, it feels like an apartment complex. The amenities have been very good. They have a movie theater, they have a library, they have a workout room, and they have a hair salon. They have like a restaurant-style eating. I've been very impressed with the amenities. I would also say the activities are good.

I’ve lived here almost a week, and I really enjoy it here. The service is great, and I love to meet new people and make new friends. You can be as independent as you’d like, or you can ask for help and receive that help quickly. They have made this home for me and the transition was way smoother than I could have ever imagined. I wish I made the move to Independence Village of Greenwood sooner!

Independence Village of Greenwood was clean and comfortable. The staff during the tour seemed qualified and experienced. The room was up-to-date and comfortable. While we were there, they were having a Mardi Gras party and they had several outings and activities both for men and women. Since my brother is a guy, we were hoping that there would be some activities for men and it seemed like there was. The dining area had pleasant surroundings, but I've not been there during a meal yet.

My brother moved in. They've done a really good job with handling the Covid situation, I'm very pleased. It was a very nice facility, clean, and welcoming. The staff is very attentive and very caring, the rooms are very nice, they come in and clean them once a week, and change sheets. They're like small apartments, so they have kind of their own home feel to them. They have the ability to stay in place where they are now, regardless of their level of care which is something I liked, so he wouldn't have to move to a different wing if he required memory care or required a greater level of care. It's been a good package for him, it has a very homey feel to it, and a professional staff that takes care of his needs.

My father moved in three weeks ago, and so far he likes it. It's really good. They've done everything I asked for all his needs. His room is clean, and they put in new carpet. The dining room and food are good. They have yoga, bingo, crafts, and outings.

My brother moved in, and I'm happy with it. They keep his room clean and do not let him sleep all the time. They're very careful, talk to him, and help him. He participates in singing. The food looks tasty.

I was pleased with everything I saw. I saw the recreation area, apartments, dining rooms, and all those things they have available. The location was favorable for me. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice, and I didn’t have a problem.

It has the ability to handle simple assisted living all the way up to memory care unit, and that was an important thing for us. I moved my mother there, and we are very pleased. There are little bumps and bruises when you look through the rooms, but they're very minor, and the rooms are well-kept. We are extremely pleased with the staff. They're very social and willing to help, and they made us feel very comfortable.

I had seen and liked it. It was pretty impressive and fairly new. It looked clean and big enough. It did not seem chaotic. The dining room was nice. The room that I went up and saw was not fancy, but it was more than good enough. It did not seem as cramped as the other place I visited and had a little courtyard. It was a good location. I saw the buses.

I toured this community in January for a family member who has since passed away. I was impressed with the interaction between the staff members and the seniors. I was introduced to a few people that lived there and was able to ask them questions and gauge whether they were happy living at this community. All of the staff members that I interacted with were very helpful and kind. I received a letter in the mail after my mother passed away sending condolences. I toured 4 different senior communities in the Greenwood area and the hearth would have been my top choice.

It was three stories, and it seemed more institutionalized. However, it was very nice, and very pretty. The rooms were very nice, and very clean; but for my mom I did not want something that had more than one level. It just wasn’t something that would appeal to us, and we didn’t really feel warm inside after our interview with the director or the coordinator for interviewing the residents.

Our visit was very good so we ended up putting my mom there. We like it very much. The room was really nice, big, spacious, carpeted, and they are fixed nicely. The food looks good and my mom never complained about the food. So far, my mom is adjusting okay and seemed happy with it.

My brother-in-law is here. The staff is good. One thing about them is that their rooms are bigger than some of the other places. They have a nice dining room. I would recommend this place.

It is also very nice. We just moved my mother-in-law there. It is also kind of new, and it is pretty. Though not as pretty as the one that my mom is in, but it is close. It is nice and clean. They have good activities for seniors who are participating, and the apartment is very functional and large. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

This is the best one I visited. When we are ready, that’s where we will go. It’s great. The staff was fantastic. The marketing person is good; she follows up with me all the time. Their rooms were great. It seemed very friendly with their exercise program and their social programs; seemed to be what we needed when we’re ready.

This facility has been the home of my father for the past two years. The level of customer service and care that all employees there provide is a step above the rest. I would recommend this facility to all that are looking for a new home for their loved one.

This is a very clean and comfortable facility. The rooms are nice and spacious. They have lots of activities for the residents. The food is good as well. The staff seem friendly and polite.
