Bell Oaks Place was good. The outside could use a little work, but the inside has been renovated and looked very nice. The lady that I spoke to was able to answer all my questions. She took me around, showed me two sample rooms and they had slightly different layouts. The dining area looked nice, too. She gave me a sample menu and it looked like it had some decent options. They do stretch classes and a whole list of activities in a month. I only saw very few residents out and about, so I didn't get a good feel for how they interact, but it may have been the time of day, and people were in their rooms. It's a small place and they're also not full, so their numbers are lower and that probably had an effect as well. However, the people I met, the administration and the staff, were all nice.

We are very happy with Bell Oaks Place. The people are very caring. They take good care of the residents and they treat them like their own parents/grandparents. They're just very friendly and very efficient staff. It's a very clean and warm place. When you walk in, it has a very homey atmosphere. When you come into the foyer, you see chairs and stuff to sit on. It's not like a hospital. Everybody we've met has been very kind, very nice, and very loving to the family. My parents have gone on about how good the food is. They offer a lot of activities like bingo and movies. Anybody that would put their family in there would be comfortable even if they were out of town or couldn't check on them all the time, because I go in there a lot of times every other day at least, and they're always happy, always content, and everything's always good. I've never walked into any situation where I questioned them or seen anything inappropriate. It's always been a very friendly atmosphere and everybody's very nice. Before they let people in, they take their temperature, check them, and they have to wear masks in the hallways. So, they take precautions to safeguard their residents, which is good.

The staff at Bell Oaks Place was very nice. I thought the staff was outstanding. The facility, although it was not quite as new, was very nice. It looked like it would be a very nice place for my mother.

Bell Oaks Place is a very friendly place. My dad has been there for two weeks now. The lobby is clean. The staff is also very nice, very helpful, and attentive to his needs. Lisa, the nurse, is great. I've worked closely with her, and she's really good. The other staff members are really nice and friendly too. I haven't had any complaints about them, nor the community. It's a very friendly place. His room has been remodeled and redone when he first moved in. I go there quite frequently, four or five times a week, to help keep the bathroom clean. I'm sure that they do clean it as well, but the only issue I have is they don't mop the room like they should because I still see some things on the floor. When it comes to the food, they don't really pay attention to his special needs. I've asked them to not put green beans on his plate because it brings back trauma for him as a child, and they still do. I try to bring food for him. Another thing is one of the washers was not working properly (I thought it was just me), but another resident told me that the machine doesn't work. Other than that, everything seems to be OK. It's a quaint little place and has great eye appeal. I think the value is good for the services that he gets. It is, across the board, better than other facilities.

I did an in-person tour of Bell Oaks Place. It's a very nice facility and has been recently remodeled. So, all the carpet and paint, everything is new. The décor's updated. It's very homey and very big. The room that they showed me that my dad would be in was a studio apartment and lots of space. It had a sink, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. I was very impressed with it. The staff was very personable and very friendly. She showed me the calendar of activities that they have there, and they were numerous. I know she said they had bingo and different outings that they could go to.

We chose Bell Oaks Place because it's convenient to where I live, they were extremely friendly, and they fit our budget. The place is smaller, so my mom will feel more comfortable there. It'll be more like a family. The rooms were very clean, they were bright, and the people were friendly. It gives you a good feeling. The staff is very attentive, answered our questions, and seemed like they're excited to have you there. What they've told us that's important is that they have an exercise thing for my mom. They also have in-house therapy and a beauty shop.

Bell Oaks Place was OK. The person who walked us through was nice. It's a much smaller place, and they hardly had any residents. The rooms were OK, and the facility itself seemed nice. They didn't offer as many amenities, though. I don't think they had a beauty salon or any kind of chapel, but they do have a transportation person, as far as I can recall. It's also in a nice location; they're close to a lot of grocery stores and whatnot.

Bell Oaks was nice. They have a pretty nice facility. I thought their system was good where they have stages of care. They do a pre-admittance process, where they have a nurse talk to you about what you might need and what you don't need. They do that every 90 days, once you're there, to decide what care you would need. It was more than what we wanted, as far as care goes. I understand you could go there for a limited amount of care, but still you would be evaluated every 90 days to make sure that they could give you the best care possible. I also didn't like that she kind of pushed that they have a pharmacy, since we have our own through Humana. We saw the assisted living. In the program, you will be evaluated to determine what your needs would be at that point. I think that's a system for somebody that has more needs than my wife and me. It's not the thing that we need right now.

I have visited Bell Oaks Place. They were very professional and seemed to have nice facilities. I have visited five communities and I would rate this one in the middle. The staff who accommodated me during the tour was fine, polite, and seemed knowledgeable. They had studios and one-bedroom apartments available. They told me about the activities that they have, although I haven't seen them. Overall, this place just seemed typical.

We went here and it was set up a little different than the other one we visited, but it was really nice. The staff was nice and courteous. When we were there, they were playing cards, watching TV, sitting around talking, and reading the paper. It was raining, so nobody was outside. We did talk to some of the people who lived there, and they loved it.
