Bennett Place was very nice. You have to bring in your own furniture though, and I think that's kind of a hard thing to do sometimes, but it seemed like a nice place to stay. Their studio was clean and very nice. It had a nice window so there's light coming in. I saw some ladies doing something in the kitchen, working on some kind of project. The person I met there was very nice and helpful. Their menu looked good and they had a nice TV room. However, I was not thrilled by the price that they showed. It didn't tell you that you have to pay extra for anything else you get, which I guess you do anywhere.

We went to Bennett Place Assisted Living Community. My overall experience with them was excellent. I thought it was a little dark. The other place had the best lighting, and Bennett Place had, I believe, the worst. But the place was lovely, the rooms were nice although small. The staff was very nice. They met us at the door, and they were very pleasant. They were fine except for being a little dark. Maintenance and upkeep seemed fine. It's not a very big place, it only has 20-something residents. It was all on one floor, which is a good thing. I know they had activities. I don't know what was going on when I was there. Everything that looked like that was going on there was wonderful until my daughter-in-law who was taking me to all these places said, 'Don't you think that was a little dark? I noticed you were having trouble having to go up and read things,' and I said, 'Yes. The halls are dark. The rooms are dark,' and that's a big difference when you're old.

My brother moved to Bennett Place and we haven't had any problems. They seem like very nice people. The staff has done everything that we've asked and he seems to like it there. We've not had any issues. They're very attentive, they're very polite and they're very nice and he seems to be happy with them, which is the main thing that I'm concerned with. I have not tried the food but it looks very good. They seem to be very clean, it smells clean and it smells nice. It doesn't have that medicine smell, and the people that live there seem to be well kept. They're truly not a long- term facility, but that's the care they're providing. So when you compare their cost with long-term facility costs, they're much cheaper.

There was some confusion at the beginning of our tour to Bennett Place because the people over there didn't know that we were coming, but it was fine. The nurse gave us the tour, and she was very personable, and helpful. She talked to us at length about the different aspects of the place, and it felt homey to us. It's comfortably small, and it's easy to get from one place to the other. The halls are wide enough, and there are plenty of windows, so there's a lot of light in the place. It seems convenient to have a little place to sit down at a table, and play a game, or have a snack. The dining area looked fine and inviting. We were invited to have a meal, but we declined. I asked, and they seemed secure both in physical aspects and COVID aspects. They will soon be going back to activities, the director is there at the present, and she gives suggestions to them, and they'll soon go back to full activities. Each room was small but roomy enough, the large closet was nice, and it had a little refrigerator and all that. They have a courtyard where it's inside the enclosure of the building, but it's outside. We spoke to two nurses and they were very helpful, and had a pleasant way about them, but the receptionist was a little confused because we had an appointment of which she was not aware of. My husband, who's not easily impressed, made a comment that he really like the setting, both inside, and especially outside.

The people their say what you want to hear. My mom has been there for 6 months. and her room has been cleaned 3 times. She will tell you once. Come on. We pay for once a week. That is not happening. Yet this is one of the better places. Laundry is not done her way. OK But the toilet needs cleaned weekly. She has continuous blow outs. Clean her bathroom. Her trash is not picked up daily. So she puts it out in the hallway for the lazy people. Sandy is the best. She has been helpful every time for Mom or myself. Give her a raise. You have a special person on your staff.

We had a hard time finding a place that suited my husband's uncle after he had a stroke. The first facility he went to was highly rated and highly expensive and he hated it. A friend told us about Bennett Place and we were so glad! Large Private apartments, not just a room, with a fridge, microwave , kitchen sink and cabinets at a fraction of the cost of the first place. Bennett Place staff went out of their way to make him as comfortable as possible. He can be demanding at times and they did their best every time to accommodate him. As a family member, all interactions with staff have been very positive and they have a great response time to my questions. He refers to Bennett Place as his home now!

Bennett Place was one of the nicer places we went to. We would have selected this facility if it weren't quite so expensive on the higher care levels; particularly the community fee was higher than other places we checked out. It was a homey place, the staff was very funny, hilarious, and very sweet. The surroundings were nothing spectacular, but it was country looking, and it would be a better view for dad. The dining area was nice, they only had 30 residents total, so it was a nice, cozy size.

Bennett Place was willing to work with our budget. The rooms are like little apartments within the building, and they're very nice and well-kept. The only thing I have a problem with is the bathing. My mother-in-law has a tendency to be incontinent and sometimes she doesn't get a bath daily, which I would prefer that she would. They always have something going on so they're not bored or they don't have downtown a lot. The meals are a lot better than the other place my in-laws were at. They have nurses on staff and LPNs. I couldn't ask for a better place. The staff is very involved and dedicated to the residents. The place has great amenities.

My mom was in Bennett Place, and it's a very small one. They have round-the-clock nursing, and it's a little nicer. They can have a big family gathering in the dining room. The food was good and had a completely furnished respite room which was available. We would eat in the courtyard, and there were rockers out there and puzzle tables in the hall. It was probably a little bit more elegant. The room was set up really nice; it had a stove and a roll-in accessible shower which made it really nice if you're handicapped. The staff was wonderful and happy. Bennett Place was excellent.

We really liked Bennett Place. It was smaller, and I think Mom would be happier there, but the price was extremely high for what they can provide. It was a very nice place, but the cost for the extra care that Mom needed was exorbitant. I guess if you have the money, it would be worth it. Mom would have done better here because the care would be more personal. The interior of the rooms looked very nice.

I visited Bennett Place, the people I met there were very helpful, accommodating, and it was just perfect for our mother. It was a smaller community. They were just great, and they had a nursing staff 24/7. It’s a nice, clean facility with nice, and clean accommodations. The food is good. Mother is very happy there, and I am very pleased.

My mother was a past resident of this facility. I would recommend it for someone looking for assisted living. The employees and staff work with you and do what they can to make this a good assisted living home. It can be a little pricey depending on the level of care.

Bennet Place was very nice. I liked it a lot. They just did not have the availability. They had lots of scheduled activities throughout the day. The bedrooms were very large. The people them seemed very friendly. They are very nice.

I lived around the corner of the Bennett Place. I went there because it was close to my home, and I would highly recommend it to anybody. The staff was very excellent. They were very sweet, very nice, and very outgoing. They were very limited on how many people they had, which was maybe 30 at the most, and because of them being so condensed, they do that for a reason. It was so that they could focus on the people that needed the care. They could also go out. They had a beauty shop. They had an apartment arrangement as well so that they could have people come in. It was just very nice. The facility was extremely pleasant. The apartments were exceptionally clean. The food and the dining room set up were just wonderful. Everything looked good. They were so nice. The patients loved it too, and they wanted to talk to you and let you know how wonderful it was. You know they were not coached or anything.

Bennett Place was an absolutely beautiful facility even though they had construction going on at that time. The staff that did the tour was nice and very helpful. They were willing to bend the rules to try to get it done, and then at the end they couldn’t get it done. The rooms were very small, but very nice.

My mom is here. This is such a wonderful facility. The staff is fabulous. The assistants and nurses take excellent care of the residents, and if they see any deviation from their usual day they alert us that something is wrong. They are truly like family and they treat the residents that way. James is the chef, and his food is so delicious. Dianne is the activities coordinator and she is such a beacon of light and love. The residents are cheerful and happy. It is such a blessing to have my mom in a place that loves her and she loves like family.
