Brad and the staff work very hard to make sure that the residents feel heard, cared for and like family. The rooms and amenities are nice and they are very responsive to any requests or needs that have arrived over the past year.

The rooms are well designed for walkers and wheelchairs. Safety help pull-strings, emergency bracelets, smoke detectors and sprinklers are comforting. Nursing staff, specialists, speech therapist & physical therapists are amazing. Likewise, the housekeeping, laundry and cafeteria staff are very compassionate and caring to the residents.
Group exercises, trivia, yoga, and many other mentally and physical stimulating activities are for the choosing. Also stimulating are the shuttle transports to many local
events, restaurants and festivities.

The memory care apartments are spacious and light and airy. Staff on the weekends is lacking. I find that they often don’t seem to know anything about the resident or their needs, and when we ask them to do something, they sometimes are reluctant to assist. Weekend activities are basically non-existent for memory care. While A few activities are listed in the schedule, most of them don’t occur. My spouse gets very bored and grumpy due to the lack of activity. The memory care unit seems to operate without any direction and would greatly benefit by having a director! While many staff are very caring and do a great job, others don’t seem to care. On occasion, no one came to tell my husband that it was meal time, and I arrived to find him in his apartment while everyone else was in the dining room. I believe he would not have eaten if I hadn’t escorted him to the dining room, as the mealtime was almost over when I arrived. My spouse seems to be happy with his living situation except for lack of weekend activities. We do think the physical facilities are very nice and comfortable, and all employees seem very friendly to family members when we visit.

I have been impressed with the love, care and respect that Brad and the staff have consistently demonstrated towards the residents. The rooms, dining area and community areas are very nice and well maintained. There are game nights, live music, special dinners, trips and many other activities for the residents to keep as busy as they want to be. My parents have been able to continue to live independently but also have a community and staff to support them when they need additional help.

We are very pleased with this facility. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The apartments are spacious and functional and cleaned regularly. We appreciate having health care available on site for routine checkups. Many of the employees have been on staff for some time which is a rarity these days.

You walk into Independence Village of Zionsville and you feel like you're in a mansion. It's probably an older building, but very, very well-kept. They had a picture of Mona Lisa on the wall there, so it was just very elegant. As soon as you walk in the door, they have a fireplace, with a bunch of chairs. A lot of the people come down there and sit and read. It just has a thing of elegance about it. The nice thing about it, probably that outdid the others, is when you go from from independent living to assisted living (where you need a little more help), you stay in the same room. They don't move you down to the other wing. So to me, that was pretty impressive.
The staff was very good. Before we got there, she texted us, gave us her cell phone number. She said, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me." The food there was served very hot, but I didn't like the food. They gave us a sample of fish, and I'm not a fish person.
The building is just immaculate. It has several floors. so there is an elevator involved. Thay have some day rooms with just all glass, one is a sort of a fitness room, one is a reading room. You could go down and socialize to get plenty of sunshine without actually having to go outside. They have a nice courtyard in the middle of the building, and the dining room looks very nice. They also had a meeting room that you could reserve (like if you want to have a family birthday party), They had a big, big dining table in there. They also had a theater there.

My father stayed for a year. We thought it was very nice, and we were happy with it. It was good for him, and it was private. The food and care were good, and the facility was very nice. The room was adequate. It was a bedroom, closet, and a nice-sized bath, and it was good for him. I thought they did a nice job.

We choose it because of they have a very friendly staff, they are close to our home, and they have everything we are looking for in terms of private dining and care. The staff seems very friendly and very helpful. The dining room is beautiful. We see all the food, we did not try it, but my mother-in-law indicates that she really likes it. They have classes on various things, and they all look very nice and well attended. I will absolutely recommend them to others. They really are a good facility.

My mother has lived here for three years. I feel very confident she is cared for and cared about. There are several aids on site 24 hours, including two nurses in the building at all times. The a aids have changed over time, but the nursing staff has remained constant. Some aids have left to Purdue nursing degrees. They really lookout for the residents and are very kind.
The only complaint my mother has had is that she doesn't care for the food. I've eaten there several times. It's not as good as mom's cooking, but it is pretty good for the number of residents they have. Menus are varied and healthy. They are served in a beautiful dining room. Food is take to any resident that is I'll and can't make it downstairs.
