River Terrace Retirement Community is located just minutes from the Timber Ridge Golf Club and steps away from native wooded trails and all the biking, trail walking and recreational opportunities on the Wabash River Greenway. This stunning acreage was graciously donated more than a decade ago by the late Dr. Charles Caylor and Mr. Ware Baker for the purpose of creating a not-for-profit retirement community for Bluffton and the areas surrounding Wells County. With our opening in 2003, their vision became a reality.

I’ve put off writing this review. The longer I wait, the more disappointed I become. When my mom moved into River Terrace, we couldn’t have asked for a better place for her to be! Activities almost every day. Trips to the local stores and restaurants. Drives through town. And something to do on a daily basis. They were offered rides to appointments, or to wherever they wanted to go. Safety was a major concern for us, but with everything they had in place, our fears were put to ease. Now.. there are no activities, or very few.. no rides available for doctor appointments. As far as safety, doors are locked but I have no idea about other precautions. To say we are disappointed, is an understatement!
