We were very impressed with how Greenbriar Village looked. It had just been redone (the floors and the apartments). We liked just how it looked. It looked new. The staff was very knowledgeable. There was a situation wherein while we were talking with a staff member, a resident who has dementia came up and interrupted us and the staff member handled it very professionally. We were very impressed with how kind she was to the lady who interrupted us and was very patient. I was very, very impressed with that. I asked a couple of different residents how they liked the food and we talked to the chef and I was very impressed. The people liked the food. They showed us the menus and how often they change. The chef had been there for quite some time and that was important to me, that the chef liked working there.

Greenbriar Village was very impressive. We were quite happy with that tour. They have been remodeling, putting in new flooring, and getting new paint. They had some weird shapes to some of their apartments on the third floor. The people that we talked to were super nice. The lady was super pleasant, explained everything, gave us some paperwork, and addressed any questions we had. She was excellent. We saw an apartment on the first floor. It was just a typical one-bedroom apartment. There was nothing spectacular. They were on the third floor, and it was probably because of the shape of the roofline. They had a lot of odd shaped rooms. They were not square. They might have different walls. One wall could be sloping down from the ceiling, almost down to the floor. The room on the third floor had a great master bath. We went through the dining room where they were serving lunch. The dining room was very nice, and the food looked good. The people were socializing, which is what I liked to see. There's a salon, and they had game rooms. They gave us a list of activities. I know there's a lot of them on there. They had get-togethers to watch basketball games, NASCAR, or something on TV. They have outings to places. They can take you to the doctor and so on. It was super clean, and everything was new. They're continuing to update all their apartments. The whole place was just very impressive. We were surprised at how clean the place was.

I went to Greenbriar Village. I would give it a 10 out of a 10. It was an excellent facility. The admission director was excellent explaining everything, explaining the costs, and explaining what they offer. It was excellent. The rooms were very roomy and very clean. They're very willing to move furniture around to best suit my brother. If I wanted to bring in something that is his, that would be fine. The other thing that was good about this place is that they did have a room available. They just have two rooms for respite care. They are both excellent apartments, not just little rooms. It is an apartment with a small fridge and microwave. You don't have to give 30-day notice. I don't know how much time he's going to need in a place, and so I don't know how to give a 30-day notice. I don't have to at Greenbriar. I can say, 'Hey, he is ready to go home. Tomorrow discharge him, and he can go home.' That was an excellent ability with them. The dining area was very nice. It was spread out so they could have some social distancing. If you wanted to be served in your room, they would bring it to your room. They do laundry just one room at a time. They do the laundry and bring it right back to the room. It was nice because I have back issues, and I don't want to be dragging big bags of clothes home, lift them into the trunk, and so on. It was a very nice feature. They choose their menu, whatever they want each meal; that was very good. They have a therapy room that my brother would go to, and not just do a few exercises in his room. They have therapy on site; whereas the other facility, they would have a visiting therapy come in.

The person I talked to at Greenbriar Village was very nice. I really like that they had a sample one-bedroom in her office; it's kind of nice to see the whole layout without having to look around. It was very comfortable, and the apartment was very nice. It's not in the best area of town, though. While the facility is very nice, and it wasn't in the worst part of town, I didn't feel that it was the best. It's not a place I would feel safe for my eighteen-year-old daughter or my grandma to be in at night. The facility itself is very nice. It's a little older, which I don't have a problem with, but my grandma likes things a little newer and a little greener. Not that it was dirty -- it's just not quite as up to date as some of the ones I have visited. I liked the size of the apartment, it was very well laid out, and it was very well put together.

My first impression of Greenbriar Village Assisted Living is that it's boring. The person who accommodated me during the tour is wonderful. The atmosphere that I saw, it's an assisted living facility so I didn't have any high expectations of the place being lively to begin with. The rooms were clean. I saw three residents in a common area watching TV, and those are the only residents that I saw.

I went to Greenbriar Village. The tour was okay, I saw the efficiency rooms, and they looked nice. I saw the dining area and it also looked nice. I saw one lady that moved in, she liked it, and she liked the people.

We chose Greenbriar Village for my mother. It provides what she needs, it seems to be clean and professional. The people that we met there were pretty friendly. The layout of the place is easy to get around for seniors.

My dad moved to Greenbriar Village and it's good so far. He gets to walk, which is a plus, and I love the doctor they have on staff. They also have people come in for therapy who check him out, so I feel really good about that. My dad's room is sufficient, but my dad thinks they need more staff.

I was impressed with the location of Greenbriar Village. The facilities were nice, and the people were very cooperative and helpful. The room was favorable and would fulfill our needs. It was comfortable, well lit, and ventilated. The staff was competent. The activities were generous and interesting. They had shopping and activities going on outside the location.

I liked Greenbriar Village's staff, surroundings, and gardens. It's a beautiful place. The dining area was excellent.

Greenbriar was very nice and had different clubs and an arts and crafts area.

GreenTree was close to where Mom lived, and it was important to her that she recognized the neighborhood. One of the other reasons we chose it was cost. Probably the most important reason was that the people who lived there all seemed happy and they visited with one another. When I went in to see them in the dining room, they were just chatting and smiling and happy. It felt like a home-type atmosphere. The staff has been wonderful. The girl who cleans her apartment and does her linens is just very, very kind to my mom. The folks who work in the dining room go out of their way to make sure that my mom and the other residents get what they want. If they want it and it's available, they will go get it for them. A lot of the staff has worked there for a really long time, and they seemed very, very pleased to be working there, also, which I think contributes to the quality of care that they get. The residents have been there a long time. They know all the staff because they don’t seem to have any turnover at all. Her 1-bedroom apartment has a very nice-sized bathroom. It has a shower that has a really low lip, which is wonderful with plenty of room. If she were to end up in a wheelchair, if something was to happen, she would be able to still get around in her apartment very easily. It has a nice little kitchenette with a microwave and a refrigerator that has a little freezer section. There seems to enough storage space for her things, and it has a large walk-in closet and a nice workplace. They have arts and crafts, bingo, Bible study, and they have church. They do have physical exercise in the morning. A couple of times a month, they have outings to go to restaurants, and then once a week, take them out to drugstores or the bank or to go shopping. It has nice laundry rooms on every floor. I have eaten there. The salads are very lovely. They have a cart that they bring that has all kinds of different combinations of salads. They offer a couple of main courses every meal. They have a menu of things that they offer, and if you don't want the things, they have specials in the evenings. My sister tried the chicken tenders, and they were as good as you will get at any restaurant. They were delicious. My mom had some butter pecan ice cream that she adored. It was very nice. When we first went there, the way that they delivered the food to the residents seemed wild and haphazard. We put in a suggestion that they could put numbers on the tables and have order slips. The next week, they had the numbers on the tables, and the food delivery was exceptional. They're very receptive to any concerns or suggestions that you might have. They implemented it, and it was great. She's been there a couple of months now, and she's really adjusted, and she is happy there. We are very pleased, and we would recommend it to anybody who's looking for a place, if your parent needs a little extra help with cooking and their home is just too big for them.

I would say that the activities at Green Tree at Post Road were good. They had individual rooms for different types of activities and I did like that. They have nice dining room. They have a nice common area. I did not like their rooms because they were very cramped and small. There was not much space. Their dining room was nice and cheery. They even showed me the menu and it looks like they had very nice food too.
