We have found SUMMIT PLACE WEST for my father. The place is wonderful, and the staff seems caring and compassionate about the situation. It's a great place. The apartment is quite roomy considering the amount they want for rent; it's surprisingly inexpensive for the size of the unit. I was there the other night and had dinner with him, and it was an excellent dinner. There's a central game room where they have card games, board games, computers, and Internet access. There is an exercise area and a small, indoor pool, and it seemed like an excellent facility. Technically it's assisted living, but all they do is check on him a couple of times a week at my request. It seems like a nice, well-funded, and well-cared-for location.
