The assisted living portion of Wesley Willows did not seem to be kept up like it should have been. They were basically putting all of their money in the independent living. The rooms looked moved in already and a little on the dingy side. We didn't see any activities. The layout was all long aisles. They were nice and friendly, but their knowledge didn't seem helpful enough for me. The dining room seemed OK, but not as bright and cheery as some of the other places.

At Wesley Willows, you could buy your own apartment. The place was wonderful, and that's the place I would be looking to move into. The apartments were roomy enough, and the price was a little bit on the high end but reasonable. The staff that we met was great. The place was clean and the ambience was wonderful, even the dining area. There was a place to buy coffee or tea.

We liked Wesley Willows because we wanted an independent house, and they had duplexes. They also had assisted living and progressive care,ba full fitness center, and physical therapists on-site. They had walking trails on site and all kinds of clubs. I have only been in contact with Andrea who's awesome. They were reasonably priced and the complex itself was very clean. They accept pets and were not concerned about the size of the dog.

Wesley Willows is a continuing care facility but it is even better than the other community I’ve visited. It is excellent. The only problem with it is that it is quite expensive. For some people, they just can’t afford to move into a place like that.

Wesley Willows was a beautiful facility. They were very helpful. They had constant activities and good care. It could be wonderful for others who might have more resources because it's a buy-in basically. They provide the care until the day you die, which is wonderful, but you do need to have a lot of money to put down and then also a monthly fee. For the level of care that my mother needs, she would be in a room in a hospital ward. To me, it's not going to work for her. It's just not what I'm looking for right now for her. They have different levels of care. They have gorgeous duplexes, it's handicap accessible, and it's a huge campus. You can move from level to level depending on what your needs are, and I love that. The people are very nice, very friendly, very open, took a lot of time to tour all of the buildings -- they were great. They had a community garden area, and they had transportation available.

I've got two friends in Wesley Willows. It's lovely, really elaborate, and beautiful. It's the Cadillac of the ones down there in Rockford. It's more rural. They built several brand new, big apartment complexes, and they've got what they call the Town Center. They had a little restaurant there. I've been to a concert there with my friend. You pay your own real estate taxes, and then you pay the $1200 a month condo fee. It's kind of expensive.

I liked the location of Wesley Willows. It was very close to shopping and all the stores that you need. The staff seemed to spend a lot of time just sitting around and not doing a whole lot. There was kind of a bad smell coming from somewhere. I did not see their dining area because I was just visiting someone. She seemed to be happy there, but she's passed on.

Wesley Willows is a well known and respected retirement community. There are many services available to their residents. They offer many different living arrangements to their guests such as full-time assisted living, as needed care, and independent living. They offer medical services and recovery therapy after surgery. My mother recently had hip surgery and used the facilities at Wesley Willows which allowed her to see her friends while recovering. The staff is very friendly and seems to truly care about their guests. They communicate with the families of there guests through newsletters. They also have activities for their guests such as field trips and ice cream socials. The grounds are always well kept and their buildings are maintained and several are newly built. I am very pleased that my mother is well taken care of.

My grandma lives here in the main building and it's always very clean, staff is always available and friendly. My grandpa lived here as well until he passed away in Dec 2009. The room they moved him to for care was very bare (we brought a plant and things to help brighten it up for him), but the care and hospice were great. Always fun to chat with other residents in the hallways :)

My mother is living at Wesley Willows. It is a wonderful facility which includes housing for all aging people. They have houses or cottages as they call them which are totally independent living facilities. They are beautiful! Also, there are two separate buildings...one assisted living and one that is more independent. In the assisted living building where my mother lives, they offer three meals per day. Also included are different levels of care which gives the resident security knowing they will be cared for no matter what. Wesley Willows also has an Alzheimer's unit and a rehabilitation unit for those who may have just returned from the hospital needing special temporary care.
Wesley Willows has numerous activities for their residents. The only thing my mother wishes was that there was more to do during the day.
All in all, an excellent place to be.
