The apartments are clean with big bathrooms and walk-in showers. The staff was friendly and willing to answer all my questions. I recommend the community.

Heritage Woods of Sterling was nice, and the rooms were nice. The overall facility was clean, and they had an arts and crafts room and a room where you could bake. They were a pretty decent place.

My mom is already in a place that she really, really loves and we have no intention of moving her from the Heritage Woods to anything else, and this was way back end of last year. She has a studio apartment that she really, really loves. She loves the food and likes the people. She had two sisters that were there before they eventually passed away, so there are a lot of people that knew her sisters and there are a lot of people that she has known for so many years and happen to be there, and also from her church, so she's very happy. I like the attention that they give her. If she doesn't come down for breakfast, then they would go and check her room to see if she's okay, they come in and take care of housekeeping for her, and they do her laundry, so she is very spoiled now.

Heritage Woods is a great assisted living facility. It is a newer facility and everything is new and up-to-date. The staff are friendly, kind, and helpful. The process of getting grandma moved into Heritage woods was fairly easy, and it was a smooth transition. They also offer and easy out lease option, so that if for some reason, your family member doesn't like it there, they only need to give a 1 month notice. The facility and staff are very accomodating if you want to hold a special event on the premises. There are many different activities for the residents to get involved in. There is a patio out back to sit and enjoy. The only thing that made me give this location a 4 star rather than 5 is the food. This is probably a complaint at most places though. The food is decent, but not much excitement to it.Overall, I think it is a great location.
