Work ethic of some staff is poor/fair. Food poorly prepared, service fair although wait times often long, food often not hot, items offered on alternate menu often not available. Long time residents say that under previous owners this was an excellent facility but has gone down hill since Cedarhurst bought the facility. Place could use a facelift. No exercise room. They have a service that will provide medications, but it charges a lot more for some meds vice CVS. They say you can use your own pharmacy but if you do, you’re fined $200/month. I’m starting to think about moving out. I’ve been here 9 months.

I liked that Cedar Creek of Shiloh was only one floor and given that my dad is a very picky eater, they not only have their regulars, but they also offer other things that he could pick from and they would make them for him. The guy who toured us around was very nice. He showed me around everywhere, like the living space that my dad would be in, and he answered all my questions and was very helpful. The place was very clean. They had a little outdoor space, a little pond, and a little bridge back there. The studio had a sink, a tiny countertop, some cabinets, and a little refrigerator.

It's OK, and Mom is OK there. They have quite a few activities, like bingo, cards, art, and puzzles. The rooms are clean and nice.

I was impressed with it in that it was very clean and the people were friendly. The apartments they showed me were already inhabited by other people, though, and they didn’t have any vacancies at the time I visited, so I figured it was pretty good since it was full. The menu was varied. They had vehicles for taking people shopping, to the doctor or dentist, and to plays or concerts.

My mom has settled in. We chose it because of its location, staff attentiveness, and recommendations of others. The staff is very good. They seemed to be attentive and helpful. The overall place seemed to be very good as well. With their indoor activities, I know they have scrabble tournaments and card games.
