I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I gave it 1 star only because I had to. My mother was in there & I had to ask for things everyday & nothing was ever done. They do not communicate with each other. The staff was ruff with my mother. She fell out of bed several time & was not found for some times more than a half hour. They lost her belongings. And I know she was not getting enough food. I saw how they fed her & I was shocked!

- No communication from staff after your loved one has entered the facility - Conflicting responses when you get one from staff - Patients so medicated they can not move/walk/eat - 'Rules' and 'Laws' change at every turn, and each staff member is unsure of anything - Leadership does NOT reply to repeated messages, its almost impossible to get a response on what happened, how - Mother has been waiting 18 months to see a dentist - Mother has fallen multiple times in 6 months but no one knows 'how' or 'when' they only know they found her.....but cant explain how long she was laying in the floor - Activity coordinator is very kind - Meal time is fun for the residents do NOT put your loved one in this facility, you will regret it the moment you drop them off.

My mom is in Alden Poplar Creek. She is cared for very well. She has gained 1.5 pounds, she is doing well, and she is very happy. I have had in-person and Facetime visits. The staff is very attentive, very accommodating, and very professional. They're great. She says the food is very good.

I can't say enough how wonderful the staff is at Alden Poplar Creek. Mom tells me everything that goes on and she only has great things to say. They know her and care about her like family do. I looked at a lot of places before deciding on Poplar Creek, many of them looked prettier, but there's no smell and you can tell that the residents there are happy the minute you walk in. The nurses keep us well informed and if there's ever a concern it's very easy to get in touch with the administrator or head nurse, even on the weekends. So glad we found this place.
