My mom is in Grand Victorian of Rockford. The facility is beautiful, very nice, and very clean. We liked it immediately when we walked in. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The food is very good. They have a pizza party, bingo, and a patio. My mom's room is very spacious with high ceilings and a beautiful view. We are really happy that we chose this place. My mom loves it.

Grand Victorian of Rockford is small compared to where we are now. The staff is fine, they're open, and very courteous. The apartment we saw there looked fine inside, and it's comparable to the one we have there. They never offered us a meal so we didn't ask for it. The cleanliness and layout of the community is really good.

Grand Victorian of Rockford was a very nice place. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment which had a divider between the bedroom and the living room, but it was actually quite open. When I walked in the door, there was a card on a small table that had a welcome note with my name on it. I thought that was nice of them to put something like that there.

Grand Victorian of Rockford was my favorite place. They were very friendly and very welcoming to the point that there was a sign when we walked in. They knew we were coming, and there was a welcome sign for my parents when they walked in. This would have been my favorite place, but not my parents'. We looked at a one-bedroom for the two of them because that is what they need, and it was quite roomy. We just met with one guy, and he was extremely friendly. I guess he was also involved with some of the entertainment at the facility. He talked a lot with a lot of the residents that we met, so he was very outgoing, very friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We saw people sitting outside where they had a nice garden area, and they had people doing puzzles and watching TV. Then there were people playing cards and games together.

The staff was very nice and introduced us to everybody. It was a really thorough meeting. We toured the facility. We had lunch there, and it was very good. It was very nicely served to us. They had a nice dining facility. My sister and I loved Grand Victorian of Rockford. We would've moved in in a heartbeat. It was great. The rooms were not real large, but certainly accommodating. They could have bigger closets, but other than that, they were very nice and very clean. It seemed like a very active place; people were coming and going and golfing.

I actually volunteered at the facility helping out with the elderly. It was quite a rewarding experience. Everyone at the facility was grateful that they were treated so well. The staff that I worked with were all very nice and kind to the guests. All of the amenities were kept clean along with the facilities. There are many extra fun things for the elderly to do while they stay at the Grand Victorian, such as Bingo, ice cream socials, going out to eat in groups, trivia, and other neat things. There is nothing bad that I can say at all about this assisted living home.
