We looked at Cherryvale Place. They have respite, but you have to sign up and pay for a month, whether Mom stays for a week or more. The person who gave me the tour was very nice. She showed me around. The place was nice and adequate. I was looking at a studio. It's not really big, but it's good enough for a little bit so Mom can get more therapy. The atmosphere was very pleasant, it's very clean, and nice. I have no complaints. Their dining room was quite large, with tablecloths, and a nice view of the backyard. They had an activity area, they have a beauty salon, and they were playing Trivial Pursuit in the lobby by the fireplace.

I toured Cherryvale Place. I liked that the staff was very outgoing. The whole building was very nice. It was just a little bit more money than the place we ended up choosing for mom. It was farther for my sister and me to drive. We didn't see any residents. It was after breakfast, and they were planning a luau party for lunch. Everything was very clean. It was a newer building. The surroundings were very nice, clean, and kept-up. The landscaping was also nice.

I toured Cherryvale Place. I believe it would be the best fit for assisted living. They have cooks, they do activities, they have an outdoor patio, they have nice rooms and handicapped showers, and there are nurses on call. It's really nice. They have a few dayroom type areas. They have physical therapy, arts and crafts, bingo, and all kinds of stuff. Then they have a transport that goes out once or twice a week to Walgreens, the mall, or something like that. They have a small patio, but they have a garden program once a year. Every year, they plant some flowers and stuff like that. Now that COVID is under control, they said they are starting to do what they call the mall walk. They'll go to Cherryvale Mall early in the morning and allow them to walk the mall.
I was not able to try the food, but I did talk to the cook, and she was really nice. And me being in food service and having my certificates and everything, from what I heard and talked to her about, she's very professional, and they're adequate on nutrition. I looked at both a small studio and a medium studio. Of course, they have the one- and the two-bedrooms. You can bring your own microwave. They have a handicapped shower with rails where the toilet is, and where the shower is. They got one of those showerheads that you can take down, and it's got the hose. They have a nice size area for your bed and then you can fit in a chair and a desk. One thing my father liked is they did say he could have his support dog, so that was nice. The staff were nice. The process went OK. They do a screening. They told me that if I were to work there, my dad would get a discount, so that is a good perk. It was a good experience. They gave me all the paperwork. They were very helpful and very professional.

I liked my visit to Cherryvale Place. The only thing that kept us from going to that place was the fact that it did not have the stages through the end of life. They have assisted living, but there was no nursing there and no facilities for if my dad got sick. The person that gave the tour was wonderful, her name was Vicki. They had everything, a salon, a gym, they had a movie theater, and they had outdoor space. They had vans that they use to take people out on daily tours and stuff. The place itself was very clean.

Cherryvale Place was great. I was very impressed with it. They took me everywhere and we talked about everything about the place. They were very polite. They sat down with me and they answered any questions I had. My daughter was with me and she even said that it smelled nice. It was very clean and the people were very personable. They were having an exercise class when I was there. If I had to go somewhere, that would be a good place I would like to be. They were well worth it.

Cherryvale Place was very bright, cheery, and friendly. My husband and I were very happy with the place. The room was a little bit small for what we were looking for. Other than that, their meals and activity plan seemed to be good. The facility is an older neighborhood, but it is up to date. They have a very nice landscape, and there is an area for people to sit out there and spend the day in the sun.

The staff is some of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. I called and inquired about if anything has changed with the COVID-19 restrictions and all the lady could say is Nothing Has Changed. I went to ask if visiting hours were still the same and the lady yelled, "Sir I just told you Nothing Has Changed" didn't you hear me!
When visiting my mother at the facility, my mother asks them to give me her blood pressure readings and sugar count, and they tell me I must look to see if your the POA. All my POA paperwork says is that I make medical decisions for my mother, nto that they have to check to see If I can have her medical information. She still has the right to ask and give out her own medical information. My mother continuously complains about the food. She is a diabetic and they don't offer a diabetic meal, they tell her its her choice to eat what is on the menu and if she can't eat something that is provided with her meal it's up to her to disregard it.
If you say anything to the staff that they don't like are speak poorly about the facility they threaten to have you removed and band from the facility. We are looking for another facility to move her to.

I visited Cherryvale Place. I liked their landscaping and the building. It was nice and the rooms were nice. They're small spaces. For someone who needs assisted living, I think it's perfect. I liked the way that the rooms were organized. I went into one that was furnished. For a small space, it was pretty roomy. It was definitely clean. When I went in there, I think they had some program going on where the guys came in from somewhere and were singing. They had a little sitting area. The person that I talked to was very personable. The room was nice, but not as nice as the other places I visited. They also talked about games.

Cherryvale Place was a nice place. I went to the assisted living and then I toured the unit for Alzheimer's, too. When you first walk in, it's very open and it looked very homey. The place was very clean and the people there welcome you. You have your tour of different sized rooms and they show you what they offer. The rooms were nice. The smaller one was like a kitchenette room. The one-bedroom had a separate room from the living room and kitchen. I think you can have a two-bedroom, too, and residents can split by living together. The staff showed me different activities and where they eat at. They want them to come down to the cafeteria and eat because they should socialize and eat. They don't have to, but most people do.
My mom has a little bit of dementia, that's why I wanted to check out the Alzheimer's part, too, if it ever came to that. That was very protected and locked down to make sure residents wouldn't get out. They had it all set up for different things they can do there. They had an outside area that was all fenced in and locked, so they could go outside also and enjoy the day. They had plants and a little garden. It's nice. They try to make it as at home as it could be. I enjoyed the tour. She probably has some memory care issues, but I don't think she is to the point where she has to be on the Alzheimer's part. They did a good job showing me everything and everything was clean and cleaned up. I didn't see any people doing anything or they were dirty or the food. Everything was nice. if I could get my mom in there, that's where I probably would've taken her.

We went to Cherryvale Place. I felt the staff was a little more pushy to make a decision to select their place. It was good, but I didn't like the pressure from the staff. The room was very nice. It had a Frigidaire, a microwave, and a cabinet space -- some cabinets where you can put stuff. They showed us the dining area, but they did not invite us to eat. It was more like a restaurant. It was closer to us, and closer to my son.

My father is living in Cherryvale Place, but he's in rehab right now. So far they've been really good, we're really pleased with them, they're working on keeping my dad there, they have not had any cases of covid in the residents, they had in a few staff members, but they took care of that right away. None of the residents have been sick. We've been real pleased with the staff, they've worked real hard with us, financially, and everything else. We're surprisingly pleased, nothing is ever perfect, but they've done really well. They're very nice, neat and clean, the meals are good, and my dad actually gained 20 pounds there. They take the residents out on shopping trips.

The rooms at Cherryvale Place would have been a little small for my parents. I liked the facility except they didn't have the right size room. I didn't even like the floor plan of the two-bedroom that much, but the residents and the staff were very nice, and the residents seemed happy and looked well. They had a test fire alarm and everybody knew what they were doing. We saw lunch in the dining area, but there wasn't a lot of other things going on. It's very clean.

Mom was at Cherryvale Place. It was terrible. The only thing good about this place was their food. Their resident-to-staff ratio was horrible. They sometimes had two people at night for an entire first floor and one wing of the second floor. Response time to go to the bathroom was often two hours or more. One of the nurses who came in to change one of Mom's bandages didn't even wash her hands. I think they were not good. Food was excellent, but Mom wasn't interested in any of their activities. The room was nice but it had a very strong odor. They had replaced the carpeting. We asked not to have Mom moved in until the smell was gone, but they put her in immediately the next day, and the smell continued for three or four months. I also reported that Mom's kitchen faucet leaked, but that was never repaired. I think the problem was that they were just understaffed at all levels. The staff was good but there weren't enough of them. I felt that communication was poor. Overall, I was not pleased with the quality of care nor with the individual staff. The individual staff members were good, but they were expected to do too much.

We have been there for 4 years and the staff continues to change. There never seems to be enough help although the staff does try to help. We feel the need to always have family there to make sure mom gets the help she needs. I hope the recent Management change will help. If not we are moving out. Too much money to not.

Cherryvale was fine and very clean. The staff was very nic, and personable. It was a beautiful, fairly new facility with nice rooms. They had an excellent three-meal program, full menus, and activities for the seniors. They had a swimming pool and physical therapy room.

It is bigger than I thought it would be. It looks fine. The rooms were nice and big, but I did not like the fact that they were carpeted. It just bothered me that there was carpet throughout the whole place, and I did not like the fact that it was on the second floor. I wanted a place with a garden and a patio sit out on in nice weather. They did not have that unless you went downstairs, and somebody has to take them downstairs.

It is friendly. They're taking care of my mom well. She is in a studio apartment that they clean twice a week. They also do her laundry and escort her if she needs it. I have no problem with them at all. I think they're great. I've eaten several times with my mom, and the food is great with good variety. My mom hasn't gotten into the swing of activities, but she is doing better because she is getting to know and talking to people, and that's a good thing.

We looked here, and our visit was very favorable. I thought it was very professional. What I really liked about that presentation was that there was an RN and there was a memory center. They had full disclosure, and they were very helpful. The facility was very nice. It was laid out well. When you walked around, you would notice multiple group activities for people, and we were very impressed. She showed us one like a studio apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. They were both empty and very nice. I would say if it was my call, I would go there and I would get a studio, but my sister believed my mom would be happier with a one-bedroom. It was a good experience. The dining area was very nice, well-laid-out, and spacious. It had room for entertainment groups to come in. It was very clean. I thought it was very pleasant. The staff was excellent. For the most part, we interacted with the two of the staff, and we got to meet some of the other staff and saw what they were doing on patients in various levels of care or need. It was good.

We had mom here. It's nice and clean. The people are very nice as well. They all seemed caring about her well being. The meals are always on time. I am happy with my choice that my mom is in there.

I thought it was really nice, but it was also really big, and that was not what I was looking for. But the people were very nice, and the staff was nice. They didn't have a pool, but they had different rooms that you could be in. If somebody was looking for a big place, they would like it because maybe they were younger and they want to do more socializing -- it would be a place where there will be a lot of people. The staff was friendly, and the residents seemed really friendly too. It seemed like they had a caring staff.

We did visit and I thought it was very comfortable and easy to feel good. The people that we met and talked to were very friendly and helpful. We did get some good information. The apartments were rather small, but that’s for the assisted living. It’s not the place where I think you would go for the early years of your retirement when you are still able to be in and out and for activities. The rooms are large enough. You can get a queen sized bed in the bedroom comfortably but for a couple it’s a little bit small. It just depends on what you are looking for. If you really need help, it’s sufficient but if you need extra space, I’d say it’s a little bit small. But of course you have to consider the cost too. It’s affordable and not the most expensive.

I went here and I like the variety of activities that they offer and the accommodations that they have. Their apartments are large and clean. It was bright and there were a lot of windows and the view was very nice. The staff were very accommodating and I can really see their willingness of trying to accommodate us.

My dad is in here and so far, he is having a good experience there. He has been there for about four months now. I like this facility. It is one of my favorites. My dad has visual problems and this place seems a little bit brighter. Also my dad has a friend there. What I like about this place is that they are flexible as far as accommodating my father. They helped us with the room he wanted and also helped us with the VA benefits, which has worked out nice. The only thing I wish they have are more activities for men. We suggested field trips and some trivia games. Also it would be nice if they would announce their activities maybe at breakfast in the morning rather than posting them on the board. My dad has a tendency to miss some of them if they're just announced on their bulletin board.
