The Villas of Holly Brook Assisted Living & Reflections Memory Care is our number one choice. It's very close to our house, so it's in a great location. I checked out the assisted living, but it also has what they call "Reflections Memory Care," which is attached to the building, but it's a separate entity. We liked the idea that my mom doesn't have to move to another place as her care advances. Their memory care facility is something very, very special that I didn't even know existed. So, it's really neat. You can start out with no extra care in the assisted living, like it would just be an apartment and getting your food. So, you may live independently. We even saw a couple there where the man was strictly living independently while the wife was in the memory care. They both are in the same facility, but they live separately.

Villas of Holly Brook & Reflections Springfield is new and very, very nice. They have a division on their site for when a person needs to be contained or given more care. So one person can go there for assisted living and the other person can go for memory care. It's lovely, it's all brand new, and it has everything. All the rooms are wonderful. They had an available apartment that we were able to see that was a two-bedroom, and it was very nice. The person who assisted us during the tour was excellent. She was the executive director. She answered lots of questions, took us on a lovely tour, and we really did like her a lot. We saw the dining area, though we didn't eat there. They have a lunch bar in their living area where they can have coffee, and I think even hot dogs going all the time, and snack bar, and then they have a lovely cafeteria area. They have a wonderful movie room and a really nice recreation room that we saw. They have creative artwork, and that sort of thing that they do with the clients. Another thing they provide is that they'll provide you help with your medications, and they'll have them delivered. Even if you need lab work for a doctor's visit, they can do the lab work there. The staff member was excellent, she was gracious; you'd like for her to be your friend. The layout was very nice and fairly easy; it's very accommodating.
