Rochester Estates Senior Living is an assisted and senior type retirement. I was really impressed. It's very clean. The rooms were very spacious compared to where my mother is right now. It's a very nice place. The head of the place was not available, so the head chef was the one that gave me the tour, and she did a very good job. The bathrooms were very large, which is good, especially for people with walkers and wheelchairs. The kitchen was very nice-sized, there's a lot of storage in the apartments, and it's very clean. You got a very good view out back. They had a sidewalk that goes all the way around the building, and they got their own garden. It looked good as far as the upkeep. I don't think it's that old of a building either. I like that it's all on one floor. They have an eating area, and if you have a birthday, they'll cook you whatever you want. They do a lot of fresh food. They try to get community food from around the area. The chef is very health conscious as far as how much fat and sugars people get. I was impressed by the menus.

I've seen it and it was really nice, and I'm very impressed with them. The apartments were very good, clean, and neat. The staff members seemed very friendly, and I did a quick walk around, but they didn't have a room for me. The dining area was very pretty.

It looked good. They had several different rooms. The staff person who took me around was very knowledgeable. It looked like they had enough choices of food that they could accommodate my mother's dietary needs. They also had transportation. It was located in a small town near where I live, so it was very convenient for me.

It is number one on my mother's list because of its location and because it isn't too large. Everything is very convenient. They have friendly, good staff. The rooms are a nice size. When Mom and I were there, we did not see them doing any activities. I happened to know the director of nursing, and once a month, I do church service on Sunday evenings, so there's some more familiarity there that we have.
