Colonial Care is an older facility and definitely needs some updating. One is greeted with the smell of urine. Areas such as the bathroom were not as clean as they should be and the toilets didn't have hand rails on both sides. The air conditioner was placed directly next to the patient's bed.The food was good most of the time.The staff was responsive and compassionate and overall did a good job of listening and responding to my mother's needs. the physical therapy that she received during her stay was outstanding. All of the therapists were professional and caring. If she needs physical therapy in the future I would choose Colonial Care because of the quality of their program. If, however, therapy was no longer appropriate, I would probably choose another facility that is newer and more visually appealing.
