My first choice is Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections East. The food was ok, but we were there right towards the end of lunch and we were not offered an alternative. It was buffet-style. The staff was very nice, they were very friendly and very helpful. The size and layouts of the units were really good. They only have 1-bedrooms and 2-bedrooms, they don't have studios, and they were very, very nice. I liked them. They had a physical therapy room, exercise room, and movie theater, and they have a lot of different activities. It's a faith-based organization and I like that. Their food is really good, it's just that we were there at the very end of mealtime. We had just finished lunch so some of them were in the room resting, some of them were playing cards, and some of the staff were filling in so they would have enough to play cards. I thought that was nice of them. Some people were just sitting out on their patios, visiting. They have a courtyard, like a little garden area, and a big enclosed porch where everybody gathered. We went back for a get-together there, it was very nice. The facility was all laid out on one level.

We did an in-person tour at Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections East Peoria. We liked it. It was bright and airy. The staff was really knowledgeable and very friendly. It seems like they have all the facilities and amenities that you could ask for. Everything is pretty much covered. They have the rooms and the dining hall. They have a physical therapy room, laundry service, and beauty salon. It's like a little self-contained community. They seemed to have an answer for every question that we had. The person who showed me around was very nice, very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the services they provide. When we first got there, the lobby and everything was nice, but just being first-time people there, it was a little confusing as to where we were going. However, it seemed like it was set up well, it's just that you have to be a little bit more familiar with it to know where you're going. The rooms were nice. The facility was nice and bright. They would be a 4, but the only thing is that the layout at first is confusing.
