In 2009 the Dixon family decided to take their 40+ years of combined experience in long term care and start their own business providing skilled nursing care and therapy services in the comfort of their patient's home. This locally owned and operated family business continues to grow however the service remains the same-compassionate, caring and family oriented.

My daughter and Dawn are friends and she has contact with Abling Hands. Knowing Dawn as I do, I knew that she wouldn't be employed somewhere that didn't care for the elderly. My mom has Alzheimer's and lived with us for 9 years. When the caregivers came out, Jennifer and Dana, I just could tell by the way they looked at mom and interacted with her, that to them it wasn't a job. It was more than a job. They treated her with respect. They had patience with her because there were days that she didn't want anybody around her. They could always calm her down. They seemed to have the magic touch.
