My mother was transferred there from manor home in arlington hghts around 5 o'clock in the evening. They gave her dinner. Did not give her a walker so she could go to the bathroom, she had no idea where call button was or what room she was in. They just left her there. Fortunately she had her cell phone and she called us at 9 pm to tell us this. We tried calling there, they transferred to the floor. Nobody answered. We tried several times to no avail. I finally got a hold of an operator who said she would transfer me. I told her no because they weren't picking up the phone and my mom had to go to the bathroom. She told me that she would try to transfer me. I told her know again and that my next phone call would be to the police dept. To have a wellness check on there nursing home. She took my phone number and promised to call me back. I said she better because my next call was to the police. My mother said that there night staff was non existent, left her with no walker. Would not answer her call button. She would be basically bed ridin
Until her therapy the next morning . No one would respond after that. They wanted her to stay another week. We told them we want her out, got her out and now is doing better today her own . Shame on this place!!!! Day nurses were nice and helpful. She liked her therapist. But you our on your own at night. The Manor needs to count themselves lucky that my mom didn't fall. That's only because they did not get a walker and was stuck in bed all night. Shame on the night crew. We did complain but apparently to no avail. All week she was on her own at night

My mother was at Manorcare of Oak Lawn East. It was a standard rehab and nursing home. They were not terrible, but they were not great either. The food was good. Everything was really clean. It was OK. The workers can be a little more productive.

When my mom was discharged from Advocate Christ Hospital, she was brought here at Manorcare. My dad was also here. I think a handful of the nurses were terrific. Also their social workers were pretty good at what they did. When the need came for my mom to receive hospice care, they hooked us up with a provider. However, some of the nurse's aides were just there for a paycheck. They didn't seem to care and were very inattentive to the patients' needs.

It was probably the best it could have been. My mother couldn't complain about the service, and the place was very clean. The nurses were thoughtful, helpful, and kind. My mom was in and out of there before a month and she got where she needed to be. It was scary at first, hearing horror stories of certain homes but we were very blessed
