About This Community

A new chapter begins at Cordia Senior Residence, an intimate Independent and Assisted Living rental community. We are dedicated to doing the little things–those which fit your needs, meet your interests, and make a difference to every resident who calls our community home. Our beautiful common spaces are the canvas for conversations, laughing, and learning. We’re all friends here, and we’re eager to learn more about you!

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • The welcoming atmosphere of an intimate community which fosters new friendships.
  • Comfortable, state of the art common rooms which support an active lifestyle and invite residents to socialize with one another.
  • A rich program and social calendar that makes every day interesting.
  • Scheduled transportation to local shopping, programs and doctor’s appointments in our town car and accessible van.
  • Three meals available daily in our restaurant-style dining room.
  • Weekly housekeeping services that remove the chores of daily living.
  • Apartments with full kitchens for those times a private meal is desired.
  • The safety of an emergency response system in each apartment and life safety systems located throughout the building.

Our Wellness Program affords residents a high level of independence–one that requires no reliance on help from friends, neighbors, or family, but rather some discreet, well-planned assistance. Be it simple reminders that there is medicine to take during the day, a desire to have your apartment straightened up each day, or a preference for having all your laundry done for you. Our Assisted Living program is staffed 24 hours a day by Certified Nursing Aides supervised by a Registered Nurse.

Cordia Senior Residence was beautiful, first class, and very lovely. I was there early in the morning. It was a last-minute appointment, and the staff member was kind enough to get me on her schedule. It was relatively quiet. She was very good at giving the tour and sharing information, telling me as much as she could about their facility. The apartments were beautiful. The unit was laid out and planned very well with the storage, the closet space. The option of having a washer and dryer in the room was nice. There was one down the hall not far from the units, so the resident would have the option to have an extra closet. It was a little bit more than what we could afford to pay, but it was very nice. The big plus of this place is the aging in place. A couple can stay together as long as they want.

My mom has been at Cordia Senior Residence for nine years. She is in a really nice and huge apartment. She has 14 pieces of her furniture in the apartment. She has a kitchen area with a refrigerator, eight cabinets, a small kitchen table with two chairs, and a huge double-closet like you would find in a bedroom area. In the living area, she has a full-size couch, two living room chairs, a lamp, a TV stand with space for a stereo. She has a sewing cabinet, a huge desk, bathroom with shower, and a linen closet. The food is excellent. They do have assisted living there, but I think she needs more than the assisted living that they’re able to offer. The staff is very nice, but I don’t think they have enough staff to handle the number of people that need assisted living.
