My loved one is a resident of Senior Suites Austin. The office people were very friendly and very helpful. The place is clean and the people living there seem to be okay. My loved one is very pleased with it. They seem to have the upkeep done very well.
The staff is very, very good and I thought the facilities were pretty good. They have good security. They have parking in the back for some of the residents. The elevators are very efficient, and they have two elevators. They also have a very big community room and community rooms on each floor where people can meet, which I think is very good. They monitor, to be sure, that the patient is up every day. I think that it's very good that they can monitor to make sure that the patient is up every day.
However, since COVID, things haven't been the same with their activities.

We went to Senior Suites of Austin, but they didn't have a spot for my dad. They had COVID guidelines in place, so we weren't able to just freely look through the place, but they took us into one unit. They were very pleasant and very professional. They toured us into a studio and a 1-bedroom, and that was about it. We saw the dining room and the laundry facility. It had the basic amenities for seniors. The dining area had a restaurant style cafeteria and then one side looked more like a restaurant. The rooms were fine.

She toured me around Senior Suites, and the place was nice. She showed me the area around the building and explained the details of the room, and I liked it. I am moving by the end of the month. She showed me a studio with a closet and bathroom. The rooms are very nice, and the price is reasonable.

I liked that Senior Suites was modernized. The rooms were kind of small, but it’s the only one I toured that was nice. The activities were OK; they have scheduled programs they did daily.

I thought Senior Suites of Austin was a little dated for me. The building appeared to be old, but it was clean. The staff was very friendly. She showed me the dining area as well as the laundry area.

We found Senior Suites of Austin through some acquaintances and decided to check it out.
The grounds looked really nice, well kept and looked peaceful, which is important to our Aunt, since she enjoys reading and writing outdoors when the weather permits.
The main room was nicely decorated and felt warm and inviting; everyone we saw appeared to be very well taken care of.
They have many social activities and make trips into downtown and other regions in Chicago to go shopping, visit museums, see films, theater and participate in other activities geared toward seniors.
The exercise facilities were quite nice, with many options, including yoga and other classes, with some machine work available.
The food was really nicely prepared - with options and choices for many tastes and dietary concerns. The food we saw looked delicious.
For colder days, there is a well-stocked library and a nearby media center were anyone who wishes may see a film. They also host other events there with visitors from around the community.
We thought this was a thoughtfully designed living community for seniors, with very attentive staff.
