My ex-husband was at Plum Landing and he was doing well there. It's a very nice place. I highly recommend it. Everybody was very friendly, very helpful, and the food was good. I liked their outings and activities. It was a beautiful and very clean place. Everybody was very, very nice.
They had all kinds of stuff, like a chapel with some services on Sunday for all the different religions, exercises, board games, they had a bus that took them to shopping to Trader Joe's and for lunch. Like they went across the bridge to Jake's Bagels and to Harner's for breakfast. So, they had a lot of things there to do.

I took a tour at Plum Landing for my parents, and it was good. It was a nice place, but it was very dated. It was very old. The staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable. The place is very old, and it's probably hard to clean. The place was well maintained. The location was good for me because it was close to home. They have some exercise equipment, but no gym. They have one computer, and it is very old and outdated.

Arelis is the person who gave us information about Plum Landing. We lived out of town so she filled me in on what was available, costs, amenities etc. She was a huge help and is part of the reason we choose this facility. She was super helpful as is all the staff.

Plum Landing was a very nice place. We loved it. If my wife and I ever needed to go to a place, it would be there. The only problem was it was too expensive for my mom, but it was absolutely beautiful. They had a whole calendar of events; the day we were there, somebody was playing the piano for a bunch of people. The staff was very nice and very helpful. They had open seating in the dining area, meaning that if you went there at 2 in the afternoon, they would still make you breakfast. It wasn't a set menu. They would make you whatever you wanted.

I visited Plum Landing, and it was really clean and nice, but it was expensive. The staff was polite, very nice to you when you walk in, and everything there was nice. The studio was nice and clean, and the bedroom was lovely. It had a bath and kitchen connected to it. They have a good program.

We visited Plum Landing. It is a beautiful place, and it would work wonderfully for mom. We saw 2 studios, 1-bedroom, a deluxe room, and we saw gathering areas for the different functions that they do. They take people to the theater, to go shopping, or to athletic places, and they do other things upon request. Some meals are included per month, and they do laundry and daily checks twice a day to see if the residents are alright. They have a library and a Bridge group.

Plum Landing is so far, so good. They have been very friendly and welcoming. The food has been very good. Everything is here; they have a game room, but most of the games are geared toward very old people.

I've already moved in to Plum Landing. The facility is fine and nice. They have all kinds of activities and meals. They're taking care of me, and everything is all good.

The Plum Landing was my #1 choice if my loved one has to stay somewhere. The people and rooms were very nice for the rate they charge.

Plum Landing Retirement Community was beautifully decorated and more like a place for younger people since everybody was dressed much nicer. There was an odor in the elevator that may have come from their plumbing. The staff was more aloof, just doing their job description and not connecting with the residents.

Plum Landing was in a nice setting, and we like that everything was contained within the community. The room sizes weren’t small, and the staff seemed friendly. The cleanliness was good.

Plum Landing is the perfect fit for my stepdad. He has a studio apartment with a beautiful balcony overlooking the Fox River as well as a picturesque park. He loves all the amenities Plum Landing has to offer: delicious lunches and dinners served to each resident in the dining room by courteous and caring staff; access to a courtesy car and frequent trips to grocery and drug stores; fun and engaging activities planned each month; laundry and housekeeping services; free wi-fi and cable; chapel and church services; well-being checks twice per day; and they even provide a hair stylist for the residents! But the best part of choosing Plum Landing for my stepdad is the security I have knowing that he is happy and well cared for by all the wonderful staff and residents.

Living at Plum Landing in Aurora is like living on a river cruise ship that happens to be docked at the pier. All of the apartments have a gorgeous view of the beautiful Fox River from the inside of the apartment as well as from a patio or balcony. Two delicious and nutritious meals are provided every day but Sunday (one meal) in an inviting dining room by caring and attentive kitchen and wait staff. "Shore" excursions are provided several times a week in either a van or a brand new private courtesy car while a variety of "on-board" activities are conducted almost daily. A general store, beauty shop, library, chapel, and community area are available for residents. Well-being checks occur in the a.m and p.m. Administrative staff, support staff, activities director, housekeeping, and maintenance consistently demonstrate their dedication and concern for all residents. Am totally happy my 91-year-old mother has been living there almost three years!.

My mother has lived at Plum Landing for more than 6 years. We're still happy with them. (This is an unsolicited review.)
The building (common areas and apartments) is very nice and has been well maintained and updated. While in the middle of town, Plum's setting could not be better --there is a beautiful park on the north side and the Fox River and a walking/biking trail is immediately behind the building.
The staff at Plum Landing is fantastic. Everybody is on a first name basis and is remarkably helpful --from the office to maintenance to the dining room. Couldn't be nicer --they seem genuinely caring. And BTW, Plum Landing's reputation for excellent food is well deserved.
I won't list all of the features and activities that are mentioned in Plum's literature or that you can find out about in a tour, but they have pretty much everything available, and have a courtesy car/driver and a shuttle bus to help residents with transportation.
As you can see, we're very happy with Plum Landing (and I am in no way affiliated with it). Give it a try. I can't imagine a better all-around experience.

I went for a tour at Plum Landing. It's not a very attractive building from the outside, and it's on a busy street, so location wasn’t ideal. The inside of the facility was nice. The size of the apartments probably would have been a good size for my mom, but they didn’t have a one-bedroom available for her. They also were only independent living and would not offer additional care should my mom need it.

Plum Landing is a little more expensive, and the rooms are smaller. They’re right along the Fox River. They only give dinners for fifteen days and the rest you have to pay for, and I think that is a ridiculous idea. They also have a waiting list.

It holds sixty people and it suits my mother's need. They provided thirty meals a month, which was what she wanted and the food was very good. The room had a small kitchen so she could cook. She could go out with my brother to dinner. She could walk along the Fox River, which was picturesque. It was beautiful. It was less expensive than the others. It also had it's own van that took the residents around.
