I visited Amber Ridge and I thought it would have been a good fit for my dad. It would have been nice. The staff was really nice. We only saw one room, but it was the biggest one they had, and it was nice. I've read they have a flower garden outside, a theater, a dining room, and a room where they do crafts. The facility was very nice and clean.

We chose Amber Ridge because of its size and the amenities they offer. The staff is very easy to work with and they give us a lot of information and a lot of guidance in making our decisions. The apartments are very nice and very homelike. One of the things that really drew us to Amber Ridge is that it felt more like home than it is like an apartment. They have a wide range of activities that residents can participate in if they choose to or they don't have to. My parents are actually doing great because they are eating very well. They have a wide variety in the meals which are all home cooked. I have seen the food and the portions are ample and if they want more, they just have to ask for it and they will prepare more for them. They always have Bingo, music activities, and people that come in. There was a lady that came in with some rescue animals. I just feel very safe having my parents there. They have been very kind and very helpful in moving them in within a week. We really were not on a waiting list very long. It has been a very good experience.

My aunt was at Amber Ridge Memory Care. Their rooms have individual bathrooms with walk-in showers. They have a sink, microwave, and small refrigerator -- just a nice-sized room. The staff are very nice, and they seem to be very caring also. The facility is very well maintained, and in fact, it is fairly new.
