Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge was clean and very friendly. I liked the rooms. I liked the activities they had. When I look at a place, I look for the smell, the hospitality, the cleanliness, and the environment. The staff has been following up with me. I didn't see anything out of place. They have a dayroom where they get together.

We chose the Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge for my mom. I toured there twice: once with my husband and another with my mom. I love everything I've seen so far. They took me on a tour of the actual room she was in. We met some of the residents there. The first time we visited they were getting ready to prepare for a play they were putting off for Christmas. The second time we went for our tour, there was one of the ladies that was over in the craft department. She was explaining to my mom different things that they do. She asked my mom if she sews, and my mother said yes. She said "Oh, we can use you." Mom got really excited. It's something that I think a lot of seniors would like, and especially with the things they offer like the different programs, crafts, trips. My mom loves that. She loves to go to operas and plays. They were very friendly and cooperative. They were able to answer any questions that we had. One young lady would even email me, call, and give us a status update as to where my mother's application was. She would take the time to come and interview my mom. The rooms are beautiful and have plenty of closet space. They have a full-sized refrigerator. They have no stove because they have a kitchen with a chef. There's a sink with cabinets (upper and lower), a counter, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The bathroom is huge. If she was in a wheelchair, she would be able to roll herself in and out. They get menus every day. The residents are able to choose what they want for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The meals are delivered to their rooms. After things started getting a little bit better, they started letting the residents come back to the dining room. They were able to have them distance themselves. I appreciated that because she was able to explain everything because we were concerned about my mother's safety because of COVID. It's a spacious dining room with several tables. Originally it was six chairs to the table; however, they needed to distance them, so they made it where there were only four chairs per table now. They have an exercise room and a room for physical therapy (if any of the residents had physical therapy). They also have a salon, but right now there's no one working in the salon. It was extremely clean.

This facility made is so much easier to transition my mother from living on her own to assisted living. The entire staff is professional and very friendly and made my mother feel at home the minute she stepped into the facility. From director to people delivering the meals they made her feel at home. I cannot emphasize how great this facility & staff are at a very tough moment in ones life.

My father lived at Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge for a little over 2-1/2 years. Throughout the changes there, the one friendly constant was LaTrice McGee - Lifestyle Specialist. She has always gone above and beyond since the days when she and my dad were both located at Victory Centre of Park Forest Independent Building. She's the reason I was able to get my father moved into the building when he was refusing to sign the paperwork for me. She's also the reason I kept him there after the rest of management starting leaving. I appreciate everything she has done! Since the newest management staff, Leslee Schafer - Executive Director, Ashley Austin - Business Office Manager, and Toya Brown - Wellness Manager, there have been some serious improvements at this location. It is very visible that all of them truly care about the residents. Previously I was having some difficulties concerning my dad and they all pitched in to help me with him. I'm truly grateful to all of you. Thank you!

Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge has a very calm environment. They have programs, Bingo, crafts, music which they play softly, outside entertainment, and trips to shopping areas, restaurants, and shows. They have a dining area with a complete setup. They let you know what's on the menu and then there's also the standard option if you don't want what's on the menu. They also have different doctors and nurses on staff.

My mother-in-law is at Victory Centre. Everybody seemed very friendly, and the residents looked happy. I liked the idea that if they run out of money and qualify for Medicaid, they don’t have to move. They just have to qualify in the beginning; if you make too much money, you don’t qualify for that option. I know that they do ceramics there and paint pictures on canvasses. They have entertainment, like singers, that comes in for the holidays and own a little bus that takes the residents on little trips during the month. I like this place.

Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge was very nice. I had a guided tour, and I also had the chance to chat with some of the residents. It was a lovely facility.

The Victory Centre is beautiful. The lobby area is large and very well maintained. The staff was very compassionate and informative. The rooms were fine, but obviously they're not large rooms. They suggested to bring my mom there for lunch sometime because that's what she would enjoy the most -- being able to have lunch with other folks. I was very impressed with both the physical setting as well as the people there. They were on time, they were ready for me, and they were very caring. They showed me around everywhere.

The staff is very helpful and positive at Victory Centre. I find the nursing staff very concerned about the patients. I think they are very attentive. They keep me informed of everything. My mom seems to be happy there. The rooms are nice and clean. One thing I do not like is the food. I do not think they serve the right type of nutrition for the seniors, but the dining room is nice. They have activities like trips and games. What impressed me the most about the facility is the willingness of the staff to help the seniors, and they keep the building nice and clean as well.

Victory Centre was nice, but it's too far to go back and forth. It was clean, and the people were nice and friendly. They gave us a tour, and they only had studios. My mother had to have a one-bedroom apartment.

Knowing that we would be in the Country Club Hills area, we decided to make an appointment to see Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge. We've always liked that area "“ and our aunt had expressed that she liked it as well. Our family has members spread through Illinois, so this location would be ideal for visiting her. We really liked how well the staff was prepared for our visit. They had taken the time to find out about our aunt and the things she likes. We were shown all of the common areas, all of which were really nice. There were plenty of scheduled and non-scheduled activities to choose from. For example, our aunt really likes to read "“ and they had a book club discussion going on with a member of the local library. This is an activity that our aunt really loves. The grounds were all well manicured "“ with plenty of areas for residents to enjoy. Even though it was raining, we could see that it would be a great place to spend time. The dining room was really lovely "“ as were all the adjacent communal areas. The guest lunch meal that we had was really great. Some of the residents even mentioned that what we had was typical "“ and that they really enjoyed eating there. The snacks offered include everything from specially designed and prepared baked goods (geared toward health) to fruits, vegetables and delicious puddings. Despite the fact that they were made to be healthy, they all tasted really good. Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge is at the top of our list as a place where our aunt can live well in her later years.
