Charter if Orland is clean , caregivers are attentive , nursing is knowledgeable . Dining room is clean with good food . Management are there when needed

I visited Charter Senior Living of Orland Park. I liked all the activities they did, and the place looks clean, but it did smell of urine. They just finished an event, so all the residents must have been out in the room. But still, that concerns me that it had such a strong smell of urine in there. Otherwise, the place looked clean. All the rooms looked clean, walking around in the hallways and in the corridors.
The dining area was very clean. They had a couple of different dining areas. They had a separate dining area and a party room for them. If you wanted to have entertainment like a birthday, you could. They had a really big table, so a family could have a separate party in there.
They had activities, but I didn't see anything going on when I was there because they just finished one. They had entertainment for Cinco de Mayo for the residents. They had a couple of different outdoor areas for the residents. It looked very nice. They had a couple of different patios, and they were all fenced in.

My husband is at Charter Senior Living of Orland Park. It's a smaller community, so there are not that many residents, maybe 25. It's clean. The staff are friendly. They are knowledgeable. The food is pretty good. They are taking care of them. They take care of a different array of different types of dementia at different stages. So far, it's pretty good.

It was awesome. The layout was very appropriate for the Alzheimer's residents. It seemed like activities were also appropriate and the staff was very sensitive to their needs. The dining arrangements were considerate, including trying to control the environment as far as noise and confusion. The facility was very modern. The outside was very lovely landscaped. It was very clean and well lit. The size was nice, it wasn't too big and it wasn't too small. It was easy to find your way around. The marketing staff was very accommodating and helpful and did a lot of follow up with me. This facility is all memory care and I was looking for my brother-in-law. While I was there, there were some volunteers as well as staff members working with individuals in trying to engage them in the making of a plaque. There had been some kind of a project. I would absolutely recommend this place.

My grandfather has been here for 6 months, and they do a great job caring for him. The staff knows me by name, greets me at the door, and makes me feel very welcome. I cant say enough about how well he has been taken care of the last few months,
