My sister is at Rosewood Care Center of Alton. That was the only one that would accept her on her income. They changed their name to Riverside Rehab and Healthcare. The experience is not that great. Because they just got bought out, they're doing a lot or rehab work in there, and this is causing a lot of miscommunication. The staff are not that great right now. They're going through a transition, and when I get stuff up it does not get to my sister, and so I am not really happy with the staff up there right now. The food is not very good; they only got two people working the kitchen to serve 180 people. It gets to the patients cold, and it is not very tasteful. My rating for them is not even a two because they're not taking care of their patients good. I have not had much good contact with them. She has no activities. The place is OK; it is just a building, and is not that great. They're being rehabbed on a lot of stuff, so the outside is better than the inside.

My aunt stayed at Rosewood Care Center of Alton. It was nice, adequate, good, and clean. The staff was really good. They took very good care of my aunt. The dining area was OK. Other than my aunt's physical therapy every day, there was nothing outside of that that they did for her. They had a schedule of different things going on. Their meals could be better because their meals aren't all that great, but other than that, they do a good job.

Fair at best. Because we voiced our concern about our parent not getting a dosage of vital medication, our parent was ignored when trying to contact a nurse. The staff would go by the room and turn off the call button. As an adult child, I personally asked two different staff persons about needing a nurse and 40 minutes later still no nurse. Our parent fell & the old crusty band-aid was not changed. We checked our parent out as soon as possible. We were not asked to fill an evaluation upon checking out.

My father lived in Rosewood Care Center before. It’s a beautiful place. It has a very good sanitation. The rooms are good. Their food is good, my father doesn’t have complaints.
