My mom is in Tabor Hills A Campus of Caring. They've been OK from what I've seen. They take care of my mom, and they're attentive. I wish they would let families in longer or more because of the COVID. Right now, they're still limiting the number of visits we can have with her. Hopefully it is going to open because I think it's now getting silly that people can't go and see their loved ones. It's very clean. Her room is comfortable, and the food is good. I see her when she's able to eat. Everything I think is positive. I tried a couple of things with her and it's good. We haven't had any issues.

Covid has eliminated the social activities for now, but the listing is posted and would be nice. The patient Covid 19 concern is high and frequent testing for all is frequent. The rooms are clean and maintained daily, the food is prepared well and a full selection served as well as several options. I wanted to recommend a few employees for a noted job well done, but my list has grown large. When a balance of care attributes fills many needs, how do you choose? I have had few complaints, less than one hand, and I am a picky individual. Going on 4 the week and the transition home will be a challenge. JM

Rooms and common areas, especially on second floor, are long overdue for renovation. Beige tile, old dressers, old bathrooms, closet doors that don’t open and bathroom doors that don’t close properly, worn stained carpet in common areas. I would not have my loved one in any of those rooms. Renovation of a couple of wings on first floor have been recently completed and look very nice. The private room had a lovely bathroom with shower. However the techs refuse to use private showerand insist on using semi private shower rooms. Nurses, facility doctor and therapists are nice but some techs are not kind and have a poor attitude about doing their job. Food not good.

Tabor Hills looked good and clean. It seemed like it had plenty of people to accommodate the people who lived there. It was well-run. We toured the nursing home and looked at the assisted living, too. The people who accommodated us did a good job. The food looked decent and well-prepared. The rooms were good. There were some activities but not much my mom could do since she's wheelchair-ridden.

They have a different way of calling assisted and independent living, and it was clear to me what it was, but Tabor Hills seems institutional to me. It was big, and the rooms were adequate, but it didn’t seem friendly.

Tabor Hills is beautiful, the residents appeared to be very happy, and the grounds were outstanding. It was just lovely. However, they don’t accept smokers, so we couldn’t choose that for my parents.

My husband was admitted into Tabor Hills for rehab. Everyone that we encountered from admission to discharge did an awesome job of caring for my husband. The nursing staff and aides were all attentive, thorough, and always available whenever needed. The facility is very clean, and the food was good and always served hot and with a smile. I never saw anyone on the staff be anything but caring and gentle with every single patient there. The physical therapy staff was outstanding! The therapists took time and were flexible when working with my husband and his needs. They made sure he would be able to return home safely and sent him home with a good regimen of exercises he could continue to do. This has been a very stressful situation for my whole family, but the bright star in this whole process has definitely been the care my husband received at Tabor Hills. The staff we encountered had positive attitudes, were dedicated, and provided wonderful care.

My Mother was a resident in the healthcare facility a few years ago and my experience with Tabor Hills was very good. There are wings for those who are more mobile, those who require more care, and also a full lockdown wing for Alzheimer's patients. Mom was in the middle category so she received help with bathing, getting in and out of bed and dressing, among other things. There are organized activities such as music, manicures, a hair salon and Ice cream parlor. The Social Workers were very helpful, and the facility takes Medicaid so when Mom ran out of money, they processed her application and aided in the transition to Medicaid. Mom loved the food, in fact she gained weight while she was there. You can arrange to have a meal with your loved one in a small downstairs dining room if planned ahead. There are regular treatment meetings that the family is invited to participate in. I found Tabor Hills to be very flexible about bringing in personal belongings, especially in private rooms. There is wifi available, but it is not very strong except in certain areas. I was less satisfied about the aides, who seemed to have care activities limited to a certain schedule, so for instance if the resident wanted to be changed, they were told to wait until the scheduled time. They would not help residents with things like reading cards or mail either, that is something you would have to do on visits. After visiting some of the other possibilities available, I was very impressed overall with Tabor HIlls and would highly recommend it.

Tabor Hills has been around for a long time, and we found the staff to be very caring. The location was convenient for us. My mother is in an Alzheimer’s and dementia care wing and has two people in her room. Meals are included.

My dad is at Tabor Hills. Several families that have loved ones here too recommended the facility. The staff seems fine and cooperative. They're very responsive to things that I ask for or things that I need, so I think that's the best thing about them.

I went to Tabor Hills for three weeks and I loved it, it was excellent. The nurses were phenomenal and the aides were just as good. I felt that the people taking care of me were the best. My room was fine enough for two people. The food was very good, the breakfast was great, the lunches always hot and the dinners were good too.

All the staff were really polite and helpful, and looked like they knew what they were doing, and everything was very clean and orderly, and seemed pretty nice.

My grandma is (fortunately) still quite able to do most things by herself. She doesn't need any kind of "full time" care environment. Tabor Hills is excellent at providing what she does need, without getting in the way (and insulting her dignity) by trying to provide what she doesn't need. For example, while she's still pretty capable, she's getting old, and the fact that she is able to live in a small townhouse without any stairs or other difficult to maneuver areas is quite an advantage. There are also groups and such going out to restaurants or on shopping trips that provide ample socialization opportunities. Otherwise, she is generally able to take care of herself, and they don't get in the way. Someone comes by to check on her once in a while and make sure she doesn't need help with something, but otherwise they pretty much leave her alone and let her do what she's capable of doing. They also have facilities for those who need more constant care, but I haven't checked into those, as we (fortunately) don't need them.

Tabor Hills has expanded over time and now encompasses much more than just the health care center. The health care center provides both short-term rehab and long-term care, both of which are reliably above average. Though known as the "Bohemian Home for the Aged" historically, certainly not all residents are of Bohemian decent. The facility is situated in a safe area convenient to the tollway and major thoroughfares, on it's own "campus" that also houses supportive living and independent living. The health care facility provides a designated "garden" as outdoor space that is not overly large but is pleasant and nice set up for residents and visitors. The interior of the facility has numerous common areas though these tend to be concentrated in certain spots. Overall the common areas are nicely decorated with proper attention to aesthetics, and they are always clean. Rooms are of an average size which provides limited options for brining personal items. There are both private and shared rooms available at differing price points. A specialized dementia care area is also available. The food is above average and sometimes very good; residents who typically complain about food may not even complain here. The staff has above average tenure and is most always sufficient to meet resident needs with kind and compassionate service.
