This has been one of the worst health care facilities I have been subjected to. My mother was admitted yesterday straight from Good Sam’s. We were told there was a bed for her. When we arrived, there was not. We waited for two hours. Finally when we were assigned a bed we got escorted up stairs just to see her bed was already occupied. They had to kick that person out. My mother went in. They did not clean the sheets. We wait 4 hours before being seen by a nurse……. Despite our efforts to get someone’s attention since she was in extreme pain. The nurse Felicia came by. She was rude and aggressive. She did not follow through on anything we asked her to do to help. Felicia switched shifts and it took 3 hours to see the other nurse. She had the audacity to say she did not have my mothers pain medication. She used the words “we don’t have any” that’s when we decided to pull my mother out and go to northwestern ER. DO NOT GO HERE. It was horrific.

My mother was a patient at manorcare. She was going to have 2 weeks of physical therapy and then home.,but her dementia got worse and we knew that was not going work. She received excellent care, thanks to the staff who were always respectful, and the manager Victoria She is so caring about not only one person but all the patients. She really put my mom at ease when she left. I also wanted to say that Steve is the best representative of your business. The first thing you see is his smiling face, he is also very nice about answering your questions. I have come to realize that when you see happy, efficient employees, they have a good hands on manager like Victoria!

I was a resident at the beginning of this year due to an amputation well in October of this year i had an infection in my other leg and needed 8 weeks of iv. Antibiotics after the surgeon sliced my heel to the bone leaving me unable to put any pressure on my foot after 5 weeks my therapist told me to get in a wheelchair well my foot starred bleeding the next day my therapist hooked me up to a nerve stimulator which burned 3 holes in my leg nothing was done about it 3 days later i fell out of bed despite having a fall risk band on my wrist i was told they couldn't use bed rails i ended up breaking a rib which makes it hard to breathe i was told nothing could be done about a broken rib 2 days later i fell out of bed again landing on the same spot agaon nothing was done everyone tells me they can see it protruding from my side then today a therapist came in and told me i needed to come down to therapy i asked her if she read my chart she assured me she had then proceeded to walk to the left side of the bed and saw i was hooked up to a wound vac and wanted to know why i didn't tell her i said it's in m/ cjart that she supposedly read now im being released tomorrow with a protruding rob burns on my leg unable to put any pressure on my left leg i will never recommend this place to anyone and thats too bad because it used to be one of the better places around

Worest place ever-greeted me 2 days after I was there-staff was slow in giving meds-never cleaned bathroom or brought towels unless ask-food was nasty and always late-only thing good was their therapist-.Had another friend whose mother was there and she feels the same way.

My sister was admitted to Hinsdale Manorcare due to a major stroke. If any of your family members have a stroke do not, I repeat , do not put them in Manorcare. The facility is old and dirty. Meals were never on a regular schedule and the effort to feed a stroke victim was not top priority. My sister fell out of bed 4 times. They put bumpers on the bed but they were lacking stripes to hold them in place. On the fourth fall she cut her head open on the nightstand which required many stitches. Needless to say it was another ambulance trip for another MRI at Hinsdale Hospital. The aides whom I’m sure are underpaid, were caring and compassionate. More than I could say for nurse Valarie on the 3rd floor nursing station. I have more to say, but I’m sure there is not enough room. Bottom line stay away if your illness is major. Needless to say she unfortunately succumbed to her stroke in a dump of a nursing home.

I was a patient of Manor Care Hinsdale, Illinois In the last 7 months I was a patient / resident on 2 different occassions ... I had both my right and left knees operated on with total knee replacements which robotically built with additional complications ... Without any hesitation I highly recommend Manor Care Services Hinsdale ,Illinois Everyone from the Head Administrator Kate Marrero to the maintenance staff went out of there way to make you feel like you were a part of their family ...The Therapy / Rehab Staff Rawya & Gina are the best I have ever had ..... May I also mention that this was my 8th and 9th surgery of my 67 years of living ... The admission & discharge process was handled effortlessly by Jacqueline & Lawron I cannot express my thanks & appreciation to this fine group of dedicated people

My dad’s doctor put him in a nursing facility. He is in Manorcare of Hinsdale. It looks nice -- inside and out. There are some nice nurses, but it seems to be lacking in doctor’s support. Getting a doctor to do his rounds and checks to make sure that things are moving out how they should be seems to be lacking. Some staff members are fantastic, and some shouldn’t have a job there; I’m just wondering about their capability. They don’t listen, and they don’t transfer data from one nurse to another, so everyone is asking me the exact same questions over and over. There seems to be a lack of communication.

A wonderful caring place. The staff was very friendly, very comforting and professional. The nursing home environment can be stressful but I saw that they worked hard to reduce this stress. The best nursing home I have seen by far.

Manorcare of Hinsdale was a doctor's referral, and my dad is now there. It was nice and clean, and the staff is nice and caring. They keep us posted if there are any issues or concerns. I know they have activities.

My brother is in Manorcare of Hinsdale. They are like robots. They all come to the table, they sit, and they wait. I don't know where the food comes from, but it's not cooked there. He is in a shared room with skilled nursing, which is very small, but it ia clean. The nurses and the techs are great; they take care of him. He can't speak or write, and if he has to go to the bathroom and get their attention, he can't. I was told that they check the patients every two hours to go to the bathroom, but I'm there sometimes five hours, and no one has asked them to go. The place is clean and pretty organized. We brought him there,and we basically had to prop him in a wheelchair and wheel him. No one came out to greet him or see how he was getting into the room. We didn't know that there's a second menu. We didn't know that we could've ordered him double. He weighs 330 pounds, and he is always hungry. They don't know his inabilities. They haven't brushed his teeth, and he has been there two weeks. They don't know that he can't cut his food or he can't call for help. He doesn't know how to wheel a wheelchair because of his brain atrophy. He is on the far side of the room by the window, so he can't push the buzzer, and he cannot tell the nurse what he'll buzz for because he can't speak. I've asked for a wheelchair three times, but they've got him a tiny wheelchair without the leg lift. They don't match, and they don't work. His legs are down all the time, and it has no back support or leg support. Now, his legs are back to being swollen. There was one day when they put his food on his roommate's table, so he was starving, and I had to go search his tray down.

Manorcare of Hinsdale has a very nice structure. It has beautiful furniture and a beautiful lobby. It is situated in a good location on a main thoroughfare that goes through several communities, but the staff does not appear to be very attentive. I've visited people there many times, and I haven't heard much positive feedback. The complaints I get are that the residents call but they don't come and that the food is not good.

Manor Care was good and bad. Nurses on duty, I was in several different rooms; I went to the hospital, but I was in there twice so I changed rooms. The worst experience I had was with the social worker last week. She didn’t help me; she didn’t get me lined up with any help at all. I was here alone for two weeks with nobody, I was really suffering, and she just didn’t help me. The people that were in rehab and the people that help me walk were really nice. The facility was very well done, and the food was pretty good. But they must have better help with social workers.

My grandma was in this facility for about six months before she passed away. It was always clean and the staff was very friendly. They recognized family members and were always kind to us. My grandma seemed to enjoy the food on the days that she felt like eating. The staff was kind to her and were able to give us details like she was speaking polish the morning she died. They had activities for the people that were able to take part in them. I believe that she was well cared for. I appreciate the staff and management of Manor Care.
