My husband moved into Cedarhurst of Naperville/Woodridge. He's only been there two or three weeks. It's a nice, clean, modern facility, and very friendly. The rooms are a nice size. They have a lot of activities. I heard the food is really good. They have a freezer and fridge, then they have a kitchen area in another spot, not in the rooms; that the people could use. I have not tried the food. I've seen the menu and I could say they are better than I do at home. It's like a huge variety of meals, and I saw a plan for a two-week menu, and it's a nice variety. It's very, very clean, and I know they're gonna do some carpet replacement, so they keep up with the maintenance of the place. I saw that they had someone come, they were having a live singer come in there, somebody that kind of sings Frank Sinatra things. And they have a book club and they have board game nights, and they have a movie room, so they do movies twice a week. They have a library.

When I walked into Cedarhurst of Naperville, I felt the lobby was very sterile and cold. It didn't look inviting, although it was clean and new. Maybe it was because there weren't any people there. I'm not sure what it was, but it just seemed like it's not been lived in very much. And then I saw the room; it was tiny for the price that they were asking. The monthly rate plus the medication management was just really high. The staff told me there were going to be activities -- the same as all these other places -- but I didn't see anybody doing anything because it was a new place. I didn't see a separate library; all I remember is the cafeteria, a little snack area, and a big, huge lobby with a fireplace. I only met one person and she was nice. So there was nothing wrong with the staff; I just didn't like the place. Ever since I went and saw it, which was a year and a half or two years ago, it doesn't look like there have been a lot of cars in the parking lot. That tells me that they're not doing too well, or they don't have that many people there.

The staff at Cedarhurst of Naperville Woodridge was very friendly and informative. We saw the menus, and we got to tour the dining room, and I think it was very satisfactory. I also think that the layout made it easy for seniors to access the common areas. It was very bright and friendly, too. The room that my father will be moving into is a studio-plus room. It's very updated and has all the essential things he needed. It was also bright, and there was a large window in it.

We're very pleased with Cedarhurst of Naperville/Woodridge. It's well organized. The people are very nice. My mother's room is a little smaller than what she had before, but it's quite nice. We like it, and she likes it. The staff has been great, and the services are very good. The food is good.

Wonderful caring staff. Always clean, beautiful apartments. Food is really good, big servings, and the Paula always greets us with a smile. Samantha fills the days with fun activities and bus trips. Highly recommend Cedarhurst and their friendly staff.

My aunt was at Cedarhurst. It was very new and just opened in March, so everything was very clean and new. However, I think their nursing staff was inexperienced for critical care thinking. The first week, my aunt's room was cleaned, and then I noticed it wasn't getting cleaned. So I said something to the director, and that problem was cleared up and then it was cleaned every week. They vacuumed and cleaned the bathroom. The meals were great and they had restaurant-setting. They had waiters that would come out and take your order. The food was very good; it was prepared nicely. There was good presentation and good variety. They called the workers "resident assistants" instead of nurse aides. However, they did not know how to operate my aunt's oxygen when she first got there, which was surprising. That took me aback and I was very upset because my aunt is on oxygen 24/7. I wasn't too happy with that. The director was very good though. She trained everybody on oxygen right away. Once that was cleared up, it was fine. They're really good about social activities. It was the best value but I got a special deal because we signed on before the end of the year, and it was best price in the area that I was looking.
