The Village at Victory Lakes is comparable in pretty much every way to the respite facility my mom is in. The main thing is that they had a minimum stay that was far greater than what was required of the other place because I don't know how long she's going to be there. So, that lack of flexibility was a problem. There was a variance as far as individual versus shared rooms, and I was not interested in a shared room. As far as the facility goes, the grounds are nice, and the rooms seem nice.

I had my mom for a short time at The Village at Victory Lakes and they were awesome. They were very good. The food was fantastic. She loved the food. The staff was very caring and very compassionate there. It was very clean. It was more of a home feeling than a hospital feeling. With COVID, a lot of the activities were shut down at this point, and my mom also was in a situation where she couldn't participate in it. She was there for rehab for a while as well as hospice.

When I was being sent to Rehab, I was scared. I didn't need to be. I was so impressed. Everyone was kind, called us by name, were ready to help even if it wasn't particularly their job (e.g., the secretary would graciously wheel me down to the dining hall when I was having trouble. The therapists were so good. They knew this was scary for me. But they reassured me even though they pushed me to do my best. We got used to the comfortable routine. Even the food was good! Outstanding pumpkin waffles! And I didn't expect to get a personalized menu at each meal so I could choose what I wanted. I hated being in the hospital, but rehab was such a good experience. It was a comforting, healing place!

Victoria Lakes had a nursing home. The staff was very friendly. They had very good food, physical therapy, and everything imaginable. The rooms were very nice and large. They had bingo and other older games.

The Village at Victory Lakes is very clean, the food is excellent, and the service is really good. However, I feel that they need to have more staff. It is an excellent place. My dad is just there for rehab.

My wife was at Victory Lakes for her rehab but she passed away last April. The food was fine. The service was excellent. She got to know most of the people there and they took expert care of her. They were very attentive to her to meet her needs. It was just a very pleasant experience.
