Buckingham is What a Nursing Home is Supposed to Be!
When it came time to find a nursing home for my father, I was deeply worried that my Dad’s new home wouldn’t be sufficiently caring, clean, comfortable or professionally operated. So, I researched well over a hundred nursing homes across Chicago and the suburbs. I am so glad that exhaustive search enabled me to find Buckingham Pavilion!
Everyone was caring, understanding, patient and attentive to my Dad’s needs. This was true of everyone on the team from the receptionists to the nurses, to the escorts, to the maintenance staff. I was never given any reason to worry about my Dad’s level or care or comfort. During my many visits, I saw that he, and the other residents, were happy at Buckingham. Also, my Dad’s room, the dining room and all the community spaces were always kept clean and the residents’ room were significantly more spacious than at other homes. To top it off, one of the owners I frequently checked in with is not only caring, communicative and professional, but a person of great integrity.
I could not be more thankful for everything that everyone at Buckingham did for my Dad and my family.

Thank you for everything you did for my father. I know its a difficult job everyone has. I know that dad really seemed to connect with a lot of the staff, and they connected back with him. The care and concern everyone showed was outstanding, and everyone always seemed to have a smile for him and would usually be able to have him smile back. You always had his best interests at heart as well as the family's.
On behalf of our entire family, I want to say thank you again. Be well and continue the good work!

A friend from church had recently been admitted to reside at the Buckingham Center. A group of us decided to go visit our friend one Sunday after church. When I arrived, the staff at the front desk gave us a bit of a hard time when we were trying to sign in. There were apparently too many of us. So half the group decided to come back later that day. In any case, I signed in and went to see my friend. She was eating her lunch in her room. Her room was simple, with one bed, a side table and a television. We sat down and talked to her for awhile. Suddenly, I heard a staff member yelling down the hall. I didn't exactly know what the yelling was about, but it definitely brought down the mood of the whole place. The facility didn't seem as cheerful and friendly in comparison to other facilities I had visited.
