I had my sister transferred there from the hospital. It's the worst place ever. She went in there able to walk and get in out of bed by herself, now she can't. She went in for physical therapy to make her stronger. The techs wear mean. I have a message saved because I called cause my sister could not reach it and I thought it was on the floor and the tech made my sister call me to say it was on a chair. You can hear in her voice she was scared and the tone in the techs voice. I would not send my enemy there. I am so glad I had her transferred to a new place.

The care givers at the Lexington is very caring and compassionate, and I felt that my sister received good care while there. The rooms were clean and airy. The food in the cafeteria is not very good, so I imagine that the food patients receive is about the same quality. But when you are dying, I guess it doesn't matter much. The business office is slow in returning any money due to you. I paid for a week on January 14, 2019, and my sister passed on the 16th of January,2019. Here it is the end of April and no refund.

Compassion is not a given in any human endeavor but it was here.

Physical Therapy is what I needed to get better. Care well done. Staff was very well trained. I left feeling I received the best treatment. Now able to spend more time with my grandkids.

I recently had a total hip replacement. They provided me with a Private room. The tvs were nice and big and the rooms smelled clean. The staff was very nice. My CNA was Dan. He really cares about what he does and it shows. They do offer activities which was different for each floor but I was so tired after Physical Therapy that I just rested in my room. I recommend Lexington.

My mother was a resident just short of 3 years at Lexington. In that timeframe Lisa Hansen, Victoria, Katie, Dottie, Conrad, Alecia,Ambreen,Lucy,Debbie the receptionist,Tony, and most of all mom's caregiver Daisy, and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting right now, were incredible. Everyone was kind and attentive always. Everyone treated mom with respect. Everyone was helpful to me. I could tell you so many things that would change a negative outlook on nursing homes when it comes to my experience at Lexington. I would choose them again in a heartbeat.

My friend is in Lexington and it's nice. However, there are two ladies in one room, it's very crowded, and she's not getting much help walking. It's beautiful, it's clean, and it doesn't smell. The facilities are fine.

Lexington of Lake Zurich refractured my mothers hip after a successful surgery . The staff was not trained on loading and unloading patients with hip surgery in and out of bed or into chair etc. Skiled nursing just means a nurse gives patients pills. From shift to shift the CNA and nurses are never given updates on patients so every shift they do not know the issues of the patients. After watching them load and unload my mom incorrectly Head nurse promised that no one who came in my moms room would not understand her issues. She told us they would have in service how to do it. Well next day we viewed CNA loading incorrectly . Told us no body showed them anything. That was just one issue we dealt with. My sister and I were there daily yet everyday there was a new problem. Do not leave your loved one there. The thing that got us to put her there was because it was clean. Everyone says do the smell test. Well it passed that but nothing else. It's to late for my mom but not to late to spread word so others do not leave there loved ones there.!!!

It was a very difficult decision to put our Mom in a nursing home but her accelerated dementia and physical condition warranted the extra care. The staff is very friendly and so caring. They treat her with dignity and even get her to smile. Care givers here have a special gift to relate to the residents with severe memory issues. She is safe and loved. Thank you Lexington.

Most staff is nice enough, but that only goes so far. Terrible nursing. I don't know if it's just understaffing, under qualified individuals, or both. I visited a relative and was very upset to know they had been suffering for days from a very curable, but painful, urinary infection. I then spoke with nurse and was told she would take care of it only to find out the next day that no one new anything nor any testing done. Unacceptable especially when this condition is very prevalent in those with limited motility.

My mother was in a nursing home for a rehab. She was at Lexington of Lake Zurich. The care was more than adequate. She had no problem at all there – the rehab and everybody. She got along very well. With regards to their care, I thought they were extremely good with everything. Regarding cleanliness, it will be between a 4 and 5. Some days, you could smell a little bit, but generally you couldn't. They looked pretty good that way. They were always doing something as far as cleanliness, so it was good.

We ended putting mom at Lexington Health Care. Mom likes the staff and she has already settled in the facility. She enjoys the activities and so far she likes the food. She shares a room with roommate and it is small, but it's clean and it’s enough for her right now.

My mother was at this facility for rehabilitation after a fall in May and June, 2011. She received excellent care from the CNAs and the nurses. They were caring and responsive to her, and to us. Yes, they are short staffed, as are all facilities in these times. The PT and OT she received were top-notch. It's a bright, cheery environment and there are plenty of varied activities for patients to participate in. My mother has Alzheimer's and she was encouraged to do all the activities at whatever level she could. On the down side, the doctor/s were invisible. The food was adequate...at least there were choices.

From the outside, this looks like a great place -- new, very suburban. However, I question the kind of care residents receive here. The man I came to visit laid in his own excrement all day. No one had bothered to change him. Staff looked distracted and perhaps overworked. As I said the facility itself looks clean and bright. ThereforeI was very surprised about the inadequate care this individual received. I would not recommend.

I was in this facility several weeks for rehab. The people were nice enough, but it was understaffed, especially at night. The food served was horrible.
